My guess is that, if there are really 5 reps, they are:
- Sonic
- Tails
- Knuckles
- Shadow
- Amy Rose

For all we know, Eggman could've been removed.
I doubt Shadow has been removed, though. They already have the sprites for him last I heard.

I actually hope they don't do that.
I made a moveset a while ago.
Normal Special: machine gun: Shadow shoots 10 bullets that make the foe flinch, but then has to reload for 2 seconds.
Side Special: Chaos Spear: Whatever it was on that sprite sheet. I forget.
Up special: I honestly forgot that one. Maybe it was teleport or something.
Down Special: Chaos Blast: Shadow jumps and makes a small explosion around him, in the form of chaos.
Final Smash: Shadow uses chaos control, freezing everybody, then flys around as hyper shadow, and you control him. Every hit does not make the opponent fly, but just raises their damage. After 15 seconds, the time stops, but you have to attack them for knockback.

I stopped reading after Machine Gun.
No guns.
Wait, I lied. My "Hyper Shadow" senses tingled. THERE IS NO HYPER SHADOW, IT'S SUPER SHADOW!
Here's my take on Shadow's moveset:
Neutral Special: Chaos Spear: Works like Sonic Adventure 2's multiplayer mode, in which he points, and arrows of Chaos Energy attack directly in front of him.
Side Special: Spin Dash Works just like Sonic's Side Special in Brawl, as he has a new move here.
Up Special: Chaos Warp: Teleports in a flash of Chaos Energy.
Down Special: Chaos Blast: Works like Wario Waft, in that it takes time of not using the attack to charge it up. Limited to no charge: Nothing. Minimal charge: Chaos Burst (from Sonic Battle). Medium Charge: 2x the size of Minimal. Maximum charge: 2x the size of Medium.
FInal Smash: Chaos Control: Slows everyone and everything down but Shadow. Shadow then barrels through the stage as Super Shadow. Pressing the Special button as Super Shadow has him toss a Chaos Spear (like in his game). Lasts for 10 seconds.

Maybe Downspecial could be an absorbing thing and the more projectiles he absorbs the stronger Chaos Blast would be.

Though I think the projectiles should be things abosrbable such as fox's blaster, and Samus' normal special, but not Mach Rider's machine gun and Toad's turnips.

I would think Amy would be a Sonic rep, but I guess Dr. Ivo Robotnik could work as well.
