Well, the idea of Nintendo vs. Capcom is buzzing around.
Even the director of Street Fighter (Ono) is pitching the idea to Sakurai, Smash's developer! (Wait....both troll people, right?)
So, if this actually comes to fruition, who do you expect to be in? And do you think it will be in Smash format or VS. format?

For Nintendo, maybe Luigi, Dixie Kong, and more.
For Capcom, I was thinking of Mike Haggar, Ryu, Ken, and others.
I think it might a Smash format. Who knows.

My little knowledge of non-platforming Capcom won't be much help. I guess I'll just take characters from previous series...
Mario-Ryu
Luigi-Chun-li
Link-Dante
Ganondorf-Akuma
Samus-Megaman.exe
Aaand that's all I'd guess. I dont' know much capcom.
I think it'll be the current form of battle- the way capcom vs such and such does it, not smash bros.

Here's Part 1 of my NvC roster: Mario Bros. and related vs. Street Fighter and related (For the sake of this game, Yoshi is a Mario character, not a Yoshi character)
Mario vs. Ryu
Luigi vs. Ken
Peach vs. Chun-Li
Bowser vs. M. Bison

Diddy Kong vs. Poison
Wario vs. Batsu

...That's a lot of street fighter.
IMO, I dont' think characters like Peach and Yoshi should be playable.
maybe Yoshi as an attack for Mario, but that's it.

For Capcom, I think 3 to 4 Street Fighters is possible. Maybe Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, and Juri (Since they already used Viper lol). As for the others, not sure. Maybe Haggar (would be awesome), Mega Man of some type, Morrigan (duh), and Frank. Frank would just be funny, even though I think he doesn't stand too much of a chance of making the cut.
Oh, and Phoenix Wright!

I just do not get the appeal of Juri. All I see in her is a psychopath with a moveset that couldn't really be transferred into VS. format...

He might actually have a chance, considering that he is Capcom, and he has only appeared on Nintendo consoles.
