I believe Werekill said next saturday because he's busy this monday. That is understandable if your not in Minnesota where it's not possible to be busy today. Blizzards. Now I'm getting off topic saturday saturday yes yes.

Well, considering the fact that I got up 7 hours ago, it's probably safe to say that we were all tired from this weekend (Phantom7, DMX, and I were at the same place).
I wouldn't have been good today; I'm a little bit... Easy to annoy when I'm tired. **** and **** would have probably been used a LOT, lol.

Will there be Wii compatibility like SSF2? I need to catch up on that game. I had no idea. What? The Wii can't play SSF2 unless they update their browser, which probably won't happen anytime soon. Even the PSP can't play it due to the high requirements. Also, I heard from Greg (Cleod9) that you want some of us SSF2 devs to be interviewed? I guess I'd be fine with that, and some other devs would want to too.

What are your guy's thoughts on SSF2? Do you think it'd be easier with a team of spriters? Or do you think that Quality Sprites would take up the time for quality release dates?

Well, considering that I am an SSF2 spriter on the SSF2 Spriting team, I'd say the first option. Though, that being said, I don't think 'easier' would be a good way to describe it at all. Considering the spriter must A. Sprite B. Listen to the critism of other spriters and work with them, redoing sprites if they don't look right, etc. C. Make sure said sprites function so that the attacks are pulled off in a balanced way (Enough lag, range, speed but not so much so on all sides depending on the character.) It is not 'easier' to have a Spriting team. If it was 'easier', then it wouldn't take up time for a quality release date. It is 'easier' to go to the spriters resource and get the sprites from there. However, a spriting team that sprites adds more quality to the game overall. Why have a Pikachu that doesn't look like Pikachu if he is, infact, supposed to be a Pikachu? We want people to like what they are seeing. Our sprites aren't amazing, but we put effort into them. A witty sign once told me: "We have Good, fast and pretty. But we only offer 2 out of 3. If its good and fast, it won't be pretty. If its pretty and fast, it won't be good. If its good and pretty, it won't be fast."

Looks to me like Crusade is taking the Good and Fast approach, while SSF2 is taking the Good and Pretty approach. This means Crusade has time for more content but doesn't look as nice. That's fine, no game is perfect.
Imo, it seems like Crusade is more of a casual game - ton of characters and fan service everywhere. There's a bit of something that looks competitive with the FS meter, but overall is more for the fan in all of us.

I agree, roy. Flash 2 has amazing graphics and everyone matches well. We're kinda doing that in Crusade now (JUS is a very common style and most characters from the same series match), but we really focus on getting a hold of good sprites. Phantom does all the menu stuff and he's even making official character art just for the game. Falcon and I do most of the spriting right now. I haven't done much in awhile. Been busy...

I dont see how crusade is a casual game... But anyway..
What are your guy's thoughts on respriting everyone the same way after the game is finished? Do you think you'd have a little group of spriters by that time?
