Hey wahts our favourite PKMN games? Mine is Pokemon Silver for the Game Boy Color. You just read my mind, haven't you? We simply can't beat the classics since they were the ones to inspire new ones.

I would also like to point out I take back what I said about hating 5th gen. I saw a friend playing the other day and the animations looked good!! at first I only saw the standing sprites and thought that they were poor quality so I dismissed them. Now I realized they are that way so they can move.

Well at first, I disliked White and Black for various reasons. Probably the first thing that came to my mind was, "Oh great, another pokemon game that has the same storyline, same graphics, and same features as any other pokemon games". Of course, that isn't the case when i decided to try it out during the summer of last year. What really intrigued me was that there's a completely new storyline and region that doesn't refer to any of the older versions which is like a completely new game. And for that, 5th gen is definitely a great game for old players and new players!

To be honest, the thing I don't like about it is the names of almost all the pokemanz. I nicknamed that small, sharp slicer, I believe called Kirikizan, found on route 9 "Invistrike", after how hard it was to capture, and because most of its moves are physical.

I nicknamed every one of my pokemon. I probably said it before that I don't really like the new names since half of them don't even make sense. I like the japanese names more, but it seems that some of the pokemon names haven't changed into english completely. For example, Durumaka stays the same in japanese and english. If I'm wrong please correct me so, but either way, to remember all of these names is a killer.
Here's the list of pokemon: Lvl 31 Trooper (Excadriller) Lvl 31 Bullseye (Zebistrika) Lvl 32 Athena (Leavanny) Lvl 31 Retto (Dewott[so obvious lol]) Lvl 30 Puffwing (Swoobat) Lvl 29 Scraggy (probably the only pokemon that I haven't thought of a nickname yet) Lvl 26 Slushy (Vanillite) Lvl 16 Stray Cat (Purrloin) Lvl 15 Hot Elvis (Pansear)
Wow, I actually spelled the names of the pokemon correctly Lol.

Yeah it's like a completely new game. Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting a Haxorz later on when I encounter its first evolution. It's a dragon type, so hopefully it'll be a good addition to my team. My party consists of dual types and variation of types. I like speed a lot. I think I have like 4 pokemon in my party that has almost the best IV on speed. So, what's favorite set up of your team?

RBY work. GSC don't, because of the time thing. @daw: If you want a speedy electric type, get a Zebstrika. They're pretty helpful.
I just beat Ghetsis!

Meh, I haven't played my english white in a while. My japanese white is my main game now, and probably will stay as such. CURRENT TEAM: Basirisk (Serperior, level 74, Hasty) -Miracle Seed Leech Seed Coil Leaf Blade Dragon Tail Shandera (Chandelure, level 69, some neutral nature) -Spell Tag Shadow Ball Flamethrower Psychic Energy Ball Zangoose (Zangoose, level 69, Adamant ) -Silk Scarf Strength Close Combat Shadow Claw X-Scissor Zeek (Porygon-Z, level 68, Careful D; ) -King's Rock (no idea why) Tri-Attack Shadow Ball Psychic Thunderbolt Zoroark (Zoroark, Level 69, some neutral nature) -BlackGlasses Night Daze Bark Out Shadow Ball Nasty Plot Zebulon (Zoroark, level 63, Bold) -Magnet Thunderbolt Fusion Bolt Dragon Claw Fly Kyurem (switches with Zeek when needed)(Kyurem, Level 76, Rash) -No Item Glaciate Ice Beam Focus Blast Dragon Pulse Canvas (used in the Battle Subway and occasionally in human v human battles) (Smeargle, level 50, Timid) -Focus Sash Dark Void Baton Pass Coil Cosmic Power (He really only exists to make my Jaroda into a sweeping wall at the first chance I get, or so my Shandera can take a super effective hit or two). Oddly enough, I'm really fond of the team on my Black, but I don't play it as much. It's a Futachimaru (Dewott), Doreida (Petilil's evolution), Ononokusu (Haxorus), Burungeru (Frillish's evolution), Shinbora (Sigilyph), and a Shandera (Chandelure). Maybe I'll trade it over to my White some time and give it some use. And training, since most of them are barely level 50, and the rest are below that.

Bump. Anyone want to battle some time?
Also, team update:
Added switch-ins (traded from my Black): Grasseed (Liligant, level 50, Sassy) -Quiver Dance -Giga Drain -Pedal Dance -Energy Ball When this thing gets a few Quiver Dances behind it, she becomes a deadly sweeper with Pedal Dance, since she has Own Tempo to prevent the confusion.
Akushiew (Haxorus, level 50, Lonely) -Dragon Dance -Dragon Claw -X-Scissor -Dragon Pulse Generic Dragon type physical sweeper. I want to replace Dragon Pulse with Fire Blast at some point.
From my US White: Hachune (Meloetta, Level 50, Mild) -Work Up -Ancient Song -Wake-Up Slap -Round/Psybeam (can't remember which at the moment) I love Meloetta. This Meloetta is amazing. I just hope I don't run into a Ghost type.
From my Heart Gold: (in progress) Shuckle (level 21, Bold) (Planned moveset) -Power Split -Power Trick -Gyro Ball -Sandstorm This is the usual Gyro-Shuckle with a twist; it takes away its opponent's attack stats first. Power Split is like Pain Split but for Attack and Special Attack. So with it's base 5 attack lowered by its nature, your attack will be nothing. Then suddenly it has a base 230 attack and literally average defense. And a gyro ball at max power due to base 5 speed. Sandstorm is there to boost its special defense since it doesn't have the nature boost behind it.
Various Updates: Basirisk, Shandera and Zangoose leveled up by one. Also, I plan on switching my Smeargle's Cosmic Power with Quiver Dance because, combined with Coil, it creates an ABSOLUTE sweeper. Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, AND Speed are raised, as well as Accuracy. So yeah.

Pokémon Black and White were pretty good, a lot of people smashed it before it even came out, which isn't the correct thing to do. I had a few problems with the game, though, however they're pretty small and don't affect gameplay that much (or at all)...
1. CANT REMATCH GYM LEADERS. My main beef with the game. Especially since all the gym leaders were so EASY the first time around. 2. Gym leaders and elite 4 don't have intro animations. Not that big of a deal, though Soulsilver/Heartgold had it, so why not include this? Oh well. 3. Not including pokemon from other gens in the Unova pokedex. Not that big of a deal, though I'd enjoy using some other pokemon besides only 5th gen during the main game. 4. The main game itself felt very short, compared to other generations. 5. Emolga 6. Taking away the hold run option that was available in HG/SS. It isn't that big of a deal to hold down the B button, but it was a nice convenience that HG/SS had that was taken away in B/W.
Those are my main problems with the game, but they are overshadowed by the pros it has. Hopefully, if Game Freak decides to release the third game for 5th gen, then perhaps they'll fix some of this stuff.
Course, my favorite is still 3rd gen.
