You want a counterargument? Here's one; the Minister was only in one mode of one game. If we were to have a Smash Bros. original character, it should be one that's been in more than one game or one that's BASED off of one from one game. When people think of Smash Bros. characters, they don't think of the Minister. The first instinct is Master Hand or Crazy Hand. Then Polygons/Wire Frames/Alloys. The point is; Smash Bros. doesn't have any characters to use that are decent for playability other than the Primid, and that idea is shunned.

Key word: HE wanted a counterargument, not me. And we've settled the movement issues at "Being non-canon", so it's fine if he moves and jumps similar to R.O.B..
And that's an argument against the character, not his method of self-propulsion which was the topic we were on and have since settled.

Another point pro-canon is that in the scene where you see him dashing across the ground, the costume moves like there is no bottom part like on the trophy. So even canonwise, it's fine.
