Might as well bring back this thread...
Clones are a big deal in Smash Bros. and we obviously don't want to be Sakurai and keep clone movesets. So how do you think certain characters movesets would change? Post your ideas hear.

You know, I never really understand why people complain about clones (other than the whole Captain Ganon issue). Almost EVERY fighting game has them.

The only places where clones are a problem is where they have the same A moves.

And yet there are non-clones that that nearly share the same A moves. (Mario and Luigi, Kirby and Jigglypuff)

Jigglypuff and Kirby have similar A moves visually, but not functionally.
Seriously. If they are at least as different as Falco and Fox, it's fine.

He's getting one. I don't want to spoil it yet, since it's still not set in stone.

IDK about Blazblue, but there's still X-23 and Akuma for MAHVEL, who depsite having unique moves, they are in the same category as Falco and Ganondorf in Brawl.

Erm... Akuma has a fireball. Almost everyone else does. Akuma has a DP Almost everyone else does.
X-23 is about as different from Wolverine as everyone else.

Oh, forgot that Akuma is in Mahvel. He's a clone no matter what game he's in.
X-23, though, is decently different.

If Akuma is a clone in Marvel 3, so is anyone with a fireball and Anti air. And beam super.

Granted, I haven't played much MvC3, but he seems as cloney as his SF self.

If Akuma is a clone in Marvel 3, so is anyone with a fireball and Anti air. And beam super. Akuma is a shoto. Ryu is a shoto. They have the same EXACT fighting styles. Just one is more ruthless. lrn2streetfighter.

I play Street Fighter. Only a few of their attacks in Marvel 3 are similar.
