Naruto, really.
I feel that besides being popular, he has enough abilities to make an interesting fighter.
Down b could be something related to sage mode, standard b, Rasengan, side b shadow clones e.c.t.
Luffy and Ichigo are good too, but I'd prefer Naruto...

Okay, is there seriously anyone better than Goku? Who doesn't know Dragon Ball Z? If you picked one from all of the characters in the anime universe, Goku's got it all...Ken the Eagle from Gatchaman would make a nice character too...

i chose Naruto for anime character if crusade need another character
also in the first week of sales
Dragon Ball: RB sold 182,782
Naruto Shippuden: Storm 2 sold 275,711
if they made battle stadium d.o.n. 2 i bet more people would chose Naruto over goku

This isn't a matter of who should be in Crusade or by sales in video games, red.
This is just who you would want if an anime character was to appear in an actual Smash.

I didn't see a topic similar to this anywhere else, so I came here to post who I'd like to see.... I'd like to see one of the Powerpuff Girls. I know they wern't anime, but I'd still like to see at least one of them in a Crossover game.

They aren't anime, therefore they don't count.
HOWEVER, you can say, for example you would want Blossom from Powerpuff Girls Z. That's an anime based off the original cartoon.
Also, they WILL be in a crossover fighting game that's the same a Smash. It's called Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion. It's coming for the 3DS, and all the girls (as well as Mojo Jojo) are playable.

Yeah, but I must say, the original PPG were more RAW. They rerely held back when it came to punishing their enemies. PPGZ was kinda off-putting for me as a PPG fan.... It seemed kinda fluffy about the violence.

That fire breathing boy, from Fairy Tale, very funny though.
