Here's the info if you have no idea what it is: Many claims are focused on the new controller, which will allegedly feature dual analog sticks, a standard D-pad, two bumpers, two triggers and "possibly more".[16][21] IGN compared the functionality of the new controller to a Nintendo GameCube controller.[2] 01net claims the controller is "a touch tablet controller, with moderate graphic output," comparing the controller to an iPad with buttons. They also added that there is a front-facing camera on the controller.[20] Supposedly, the controller will also feature six-axis motion controls that outperform a PlayStation Move motion controller (in terms of fidelity),[22] as well as a built-in sensor bar.[20] Sources[who?] agree that the new controller features a 6-inch touchscreen.[23] 01net took the rumor a step further and claimed that the touchscreen would be single-touch.[20] Sources from CVG claimed that the controller featured a high-resolution screen.[16] IGN claims that the controller will allow players to stream entire games to the controller from the console,[2] and that the console itself "is likely to resemble a modernized version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)."[24]

Why would you look down at your controller in the middle of a game to check your health and whatnot? It's a pointless gimmick. Why would you have to look down at the second screen to check your health and whatnot? It's a pointless gimmick. Why would you have to wave your arm when you're playing a tennis simulation? It's a pointless gimmick. Why would you have to have 3D? It's a pointless gimmick. "Pointless gimmicks" are the only reason Nintendo is still around, making consoles, unlike Sega. And now, thanks to "Pointless gimmicks", they're kicking asses of their competition. TBH, I would have prefered to have Nintendo still making normal consoles that actually can compete with others. But their family image from NES/SNES times had remained and pushed away so called hardcore gamers and "Pointless gimmicks" are the only thing they could do to survive. I'd rather have "Pointless gimmick" Nintendo than dead Nintendo

I just don't get why things like the 3DS sell. I played one at a gamestop, and it made my eyes hurt.

It's a pointless gimmick. So was what the DS was beleived to be at first.

Well, it only hurt my eyes for about 5 seconds after I got it. I've gotten completely used to it now. There are a few reasons they sell, one of which is because it's friggin' awesome being able to play games in 3D. A few of the other reasons are the chance to play revamped versions of Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64, as well as the long awaited Kid Icarus sequel. Not to mention the rendering capabilities are exponentially better than the DS's. It's probably around what the PSP can do, but the PSP can't do it in 3D.

Okay, well. Skyward Sword might be stopped until Wii2 comes out.

You're wrong. It's too far into production and the Wii2 apparently wont have Motion Controls, other than for backwards compatibility. So yeah. No. It's coming out on the Wii.

Yeah the Wii2 will have some motion control, because it is gonna be able to play gamecube and wii games on it, besides the Wii2 games.

Wii2 apparently wont have Motion Controls, other than for backwards compatibility. From what I've heard, Wii2 will have motion control more precise that PS Move. This has been confirmed to be false already?

We'll find out more info, and, anyway, if you all type in Super Smash Bros. Strife, you'll find that there are rumors to it, people are saying there'll be a new SSB game at EA's next show.

Why wouldn't they make a new smash for this "Wii2"? Of course they will. The series is just too popular. It's a matter of time.

Why wouldn't they make a new smash for this "Wii2"? Who said they wouldn't? Even if Sakurai refuses to develop a new smash bros, Nintendo would probably develop one anyway, with or without him. When Nintendo has a great series, they stick with it, ala Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, etc. @corey: Rumors =/= truth. I could spread the rumor that I was really female, but does that make it true? Nope. Same with this "Smash Bros. Strife" thing, we have no clue what will happen.

Why wouldn't they make a new smash for this "Wii2"? they will i heard when they announced super smash bros brawl Sakurai wasn't on board until they asked him EDIT: found story [At the pre-E3 2005 press conference, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that the next installment of Super Smash Bros. was soon to be in development for its next console and would be a launch title with Wi-Fi compatibility for online play. The announcement was a surprise to Sakurai, who left HAL Laboratory in 2003. He was not informed of Nintendo's intent to release another Smash Bros. game, despite the fact that Iwata told Sakurai shortly after his resignation from HAL that if a new Smash game was to be developed, he would want Sakurai to again serve as director. It was not until after the conference that Iwata requested that Sakurai hold a private meeting with him, where he was asked to be involved as Brawl's director. Sakurai agreed to become director, and development of the game began in October 2005]
