maybe somehow in the final version of the game there could possibly be a character creator that lets you make completely new characters. If this was able to be done your game would become more popular than it is now and most likely the best fan made smash bros game out there. ;D

This is actually a great idea.
Since the devs seem against the idea of a expansions, this would be perfect.

The only perceivable problem is that there would be a ton of versions floating around (which Falcon doesn't want), and it would pretty much turn into a smash-styled MUGEN.

I'm not saying it wouldn't work, I'm just saying there would have to be some rules about use and distribution.
One option is that you make the character then give Falcon the .gmk and he can add the character in with a simple copy/paste, then after a few characters are added he makes a new "DLC" version with the added characters.

Uh, I think Sakurai thought of Stage Builder a while back. ;D
Nonetheless, I have dreamed of making a character builder, and of course it would be difficult, but maybe if I just sit down and crank it out I could make one. But it's something I'd put on the back burner.

As awesome as creating your own character is, in my opinion I don't think it is fitting for Smash Bros in general and seems to kill the concept of All-Star fighting.

I think stage builder would come first if we did do any customization like this.
Character designing has been discussed before, where you choose different body parts and choose moves from different characters. Almost like Mix n Match.
