Talk about "forgotten" video game characters here. By "forgotten" I'm talking about characters that aren't really recognized anymore and have seem to be overshadowed by the much more successful video game characters. Some characters that I can think of... I guess one would be Croc. He had a decent game for the PS1, and even received a sequel. But then... he kinda died out. I mean, when you say "Croc" people will probably think you're talking about the footwear, not the video game crocodile. |

Croc is one of the most nostalgic games for me. I love it. I played the computer version.
Munch and Odyssey(XBOX only)was also a pretty fun game, that didn't get much attention.
And Aero the Acrobat's game was great too.

Thanks to SGC(gems collection) he's kind of known....I think he was on virtual console too. Someone forgotten on Genesis......may just be a bit of a stretch, but DJ Boy? I had his game. It was kind of a beat 'em up. Dynamite Headdy is also kind of a sort-of-known, sort-of-not-known game on the Genesis. It's exactly like Ristar-not too well known, EXTREMELY good game.

There are a few characters who are forgotten but had great games... sad, really.
I think it is kinda fun to look back at old NES games, and look at the old characters...
like, "BAYOU BILLY" or... "STANLEY THE BUGMAN". You won't be seeing them anytime soon.

No seriously. People forget that he had his own game by Nintendo long ago.
And the fact that the original premise for Donkey Kong was to be Popeye.
Mario/Jumpman=Popeye
Donkey Kong=Brutus (I think....)

I think Aero the Acrobat may be one, but idk.
I also think the entire Killer Instinct cast has been dumped pretty badly by gamers.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Juno, Vela, and their dog Lupus from Jet Force Gemini on the N64 are pretty forgotten.

OMG killer instinct was the very first snes game I owned. Spinal, jago, and orchid were my mains. Plus riptor. they are owned by rare.
Shadow man is another forgotten character.

Wanda from Wario's Woods and Mario & Wario. I haven't seen her in anything besides those two.
