Honestly, I still prefer meowth, but team rocket moveset really appealed to me and if team rocket is the only way to get meowth, this I wouldnt mind this choice over rival

Representation: Team Rocket represents the anime far better than anyone else as well as pokemon yellow. Let's not forget the fact they use regular poison pokemon and thus represent all of team rocket. The anime itself may not be connected as much to the games, but don't forget that it was the movies who made the pokemon Lucario and Zoroark popular and basicly, posterboys. You wanted nostalgia? THIS IS NOSTALGIA! At least 4.
Popularity: 5 DUH.
Viability: Weezing himself can, admitedly only float. That however is of no significance, since Arbok will be doing the majority of actions. Now, I don't know what you've heard of snakes, dmx, but some species can slither up to 20 km/h while many species grab prey with their tails. Now, just by getting A LITTLE BIT unrealistic, we can easily have Arbok grab opponents, items with his tail. SPEED IS NOT AN ISSUE. 4.
Uniqueness: Obviously, no other character is similar structure wise to either. Additionally, by having them act differently but simultaneously during specials, you can get some very unique results. At least 4.

Sorry if you saw it unfinished earlier.
Here's something I don't mention often that works behind the scenes and really affects who gets in the roster- Roster Balance.
Roster Balance (not part of the grading system) is checking to make sure that each franchise, company, and Nintendo classic, has enough (or not enough) representatives. We even cut a Pokemon from the roster not too long ago, leaving us at 6 Pokemon (not including each individual). For example, we don't want more Star Fox characters than Zelda characters because Zelda is a more important Nintendo franchise and it was represented this way in previous Smash Bros. titles. Companies (such as Capcom, SEGA, Konami) should not take up an 8th of the roster (Capcom does not, just to let everyone know). Nintendo Classic Characters, such as Mach Rider, Saki, and Litttle Mac, should take of an 8th of the roster, leaving 10 Nintendo Classics.
Roster Balance also checks to make sure that the most important parts of a franchise are covered. For example, there are currently 9 Mario characters total. The parts of the franchise we covered are:
-Characters Currently In Smash Bros. (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser)
-Characters Well Known and Requested For Smash (Toad, B???)
-Characters For Reasons Such As Hero/Villain Balance (Rosalina)
-Characters That Are Highly Requested and Popular (Geno, P???)
This doesn't include Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, or Diddy Kong.

Waluigi (just to be consistent) is part of the Wario series.
Yoshi represents Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story- part of the Yoshi series.
Donkey Kong has represented the DK series for years.
I find it funny you didn't comment on the Roster Balance idea. Why must the biggest part of the post be ignored?

Waluigi is NOT A ****ing WARIO CHARACTER! Waluigi has only been in Mario spin-offs, NEVER has he been in a Wario Land or WarioWare. Nor Wario World nor Wario: Master of Disguise. To call him one is just plain stupidity! I guess that means Birdo's a Yoshi character too, huh? And you're one to talk about ignoring big parts. You are one to ****ing talk. NOW I take my leave. |

The Birdo and Yoshi thing doesn't make much sense to me. Sure, they normally shared a kart on Mario Kart: Double Dash, but that's all they did. Wario and Waluigi were never apart when they appeared in the same game. Never.

It has not been confirmed or denied that Waluigi is Wario's brother.
It even says on his trophy in Melee: "his relationship to Wario is unclear."

In Mario Kart (save for DD), everyone is your enemy. 4. Because it's "bound" to happen, it should be considered as such? Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Just to be fair, (Not sure if its been said) Pikachu attacks with items from his mouth, so why can't they? And Golden, dont leave the forums because you think someones being kinda dumb. You can always just ignore people. He's 1 of 3/4 members on the dev team. Wait for Phantom or Falcon or ANYONE else. 1 Opinion isnt the end of the world just because his outlook doesn't match yours. Sometimes you should let sleeping dogs lie. =x
