I use Camstasia Recorder, but CamStudio and HyperCam are free (albeit rather crappy).
Exalt/Smite is a system that shows your general status as a member. If you post things that people like, then you may get exalted by them. If you post spam or are generally annoying, you may get smitten by people. Each person can only exalt or smite another member once a day, but they can exalt/smite as many members per day as they see fit.

By loading thing, do you mean youtube?
Make sure the video is in a file format such as .mp4, .avi, or a similar video format.
