How do I patch?

I say in the New Awesome Demo of SSBC that there's a patch to fix errors,glitches,etc,and I'm wondering how to Patch a Game Maker Game,because on YoYo Games,there is a Sonic Colors 2D Game that is certainly amazing,and better than the real one cuz it has more stuff,and was wondering if someone,or me,could make a patch to fix the Big Error some people get on there computer so they can't play it.If you want to play the game thinking your lucky enough to play it,then go here.sandbox.yoyogames.com/games/141749-sonic-colors

You run the patch EXE instead of the normal one.
