Finally got around to this: I've been having a bit of trouble with polls. Every time I try to make one, the post thread doesn't work. Also, when I click to make a question or the poll question, it opens up the thing of my username to log in, but that's beside the point.  |

I think Karma has to go. Some people have grudges on certain other individuals and it's very apparent. I just dont think it really has a purpose.

i have a better idea for karma
when you make a post
a plus or minus sign will show
if a post has negative number of 5 it will be hidden like on youtube
also it would be a good way to see how many people agree with your post

Yeah, but that could eventually just lead to censorship.
And if five people hate one person enough, they could completely censor them out of discussions. And we certainly don't want that.

Karma is just a fun little proboards feature. If someone's karma is way too low, a mod could reset it.
Red, no. I've seen it implemented on other forums, and it is always a terrible idea.
Sumika, can you add my post count from the other forum? I can't find the site, haha.

El, it IS possible for Karma to be removed. I saw it in a test forum I madewhere I also learned how to make forum skins.
Anyways, I wanted to make this post to say that the chat room should only be accessible to forum members.
Otherwise, trolls could access it.

Chatroom is fine the way it is, as is karma. Karma isn't really abused and is just for fun, and the chat isn't active enough for trolls and such like me.

There have already been a lot of unknown people coming in(well, like 2 or 3) that haven't been doing anything, really, but it could get much worse.
Especially if there ends up being another case of you not being here for a while...

Random people aren't a big deal in the chat as long as they aren't flaming, etc. It isn't like there is a set topic or anything.
