I'm sorry, but a 3 year old project dying suddenly seems pretty ludicrous to me. Who in their right mind would quit at this point and with so many fans? I'd finish it myself if I had the skill, and I only follow the progress.

So you're letting all those first-page replies be right?
I don't get it. A month ago you were all "0.8 is going to have online and HD and every character we have time to code". I can understand if you're all busy with school, and I can't complain that you're doing your own stuff on the side (I've been switching between three or four spriting projects, R.O.B. being one of them), but giving up on the game entirely I don't get. Falcon, if you just get online mode working, I'm sure someone else can make the characters. HD is nice but unnecessary, IMO. Heck, just having Online already puts us ahead of all other smash fangames and would give people something to do while characters and stages happen at a slower pace.
I'd write a longer motivational post but I'm on my iPod right now.

I know what'll cheer you up- I'm starting on a Mario fan-game and Phantom's working on an Ocarina of Time Resynthesized project (you can find it on Youtube)....It's not the forums that are dying- this project is dying too. People have just gotten tired of the game and the forums. What's Falcon8r doing? Nothing at the slightest, I believe, that involves this game. The last thing I know he did was add Ice Cap Zone in JULY. JULY. We're almost in October now. If 0.8 does happen, it won't be holiday season, unless it only has a new stage and new character- if that. If nothing else happens here, it may be best just to show everyone the roster....lol Wow. So pretty much, Crusade is no more. Well, seeing as there's no Smash-related project at this point, I might as well take my leave. Or I'll stay just because I made so many friends here.

I hope Crusade isn't over, though it appears to be headed to that direction.
I have to say this. Though I don't blame a couple of our forum members taking a hiatus due to inactivity in the forum, at the same time its pretty much making it worse cause it is only influencing other members to do the same.
I don't know why the devs are jumping back and forth from one project to another and then back. I don't see the sense in that at all. Like why not just finish what you started and then afterwards move on to the next project.
I'm not going to lie, the Mario & Zelda project sounds great and all. But, I highly doubt it will get as much of a fanbase or active forum as a Smash Bros game. While Zelda & Mario are based off of that one franchise respectfully, Smash Bros is a universal franchise that brings in many different audiences while Mario & Zelda only appeal to just a selected few. This is just my opinion though.
Not sure what we can really do to bring this forum back to life. Possibly lure in more new members, interesting debates and topics to discuss, etc. But one thing is for sure is that those who are contributing to development or forum (programmers, spriters, artist, admins, mods, etc) needs to pick up on whatever they are working on. Just saying.
Another thing also, I think some of us that choose to post or discuss ideas on the Xat rather than the forum itself needs to go back to posting ideas and discussions back on the forum. I think the Xat should be used for community chat & spamming conversations, just none Crusade related discussions. Not sure if anyone agrees with me, but I feel that the Xat played a part on the slowness of the forum back in August.

Damn you Felipe. Stop thinking that you're right about everything. Please, do it The xat died. And there isn't many new posts. Really, why the devs had to go and focus on other projects? Crusade's the best game they ever made. And they move into other projects without finishing Crusade? Damnit, just damnit. Crusade must stay alive.

Don't leave just yet- I'll still be on to update any lost members. I will still update anything that will happen to this game on Deviantart: machriderz.deviantart.com/I think, Smashking, that I never got to really go all-out on another fan-game was because of Crusade. I still like Crusade a lot. I think SSBC, honestly, should be open-source. The Mugen for Smash Bros, almost. People could upload character, stage, and game mode data to the forums and people can plug them into their game. Phantom and I have talked about this before.

*looks at title* www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6ColROeJ1gBut yeah. This project is dying, sadly. To be honest even I've grown unmotivated about it, but that is most likely because I can't play it on a daily basis like almost all of you can, so I guess that has something to do with it. *Looks at DMX's post* We should totally turn Crusade into a Smash Bros. Mugen, it'd be epic. This is one of the things that I agree with DMX on~

I concur. I mean, seriously. Who wouldn't want Gamma or Deoxys or such and such? Too bad I suck at anything coding/spriting...

NO! NOT THE SAD GAMMA MUSIC!
Look, I like Gamma, I just don't feel him deserving nor can I picture him working unless the stupid "Chaos Gamma" from Sonic Battle is used.

Look, I like Gamma, I just don't feel him deserving I feel this way, but if they want it to be like mugen, then Gamma could easily get in.

Not being good at coding wouldn't be a problem when you have 30+ characters to look at for reference. If you want to, you could remove characters you don't want. Remember, this isn't just characters. You can change anything if you're not afraid to. You could make your own game modes!

I cant believe this is actually happening. And I don't understand how everything just happened so quickly. I hope SSBC, no, the best smash game ever doesn't die.

I think the main problem with the forum is that school is officially in full swing now. I mostly use this place for general discussion anyway, so I'm fine with mostly that.
And honestly, smash bros mugen sounds like something to be done after Crusade itself is completely finished, but it's still a great idea.

Well let's see: -There haven't been any major roster issues (that we know of). - SCHOOL. -I've been playing more Brawl than Crusade and therefore don't have as much to talk about. - SCHOOL. -It's been nearly two months since 0.7 came out, so a ton of the "OMG THE NEW VERSION IS OUT" talk has died down. - SCHOOL.
So I wasn't wrong.
