I'm going to use it for big time PC gaming.
It HAS to be a laptop. I dont do desktop.
Heres the Specs:
PROCESSOR:
Intel® Core™ i7 2820QM 2.3GHz (3.4GHz Turbo Mode, 8MB Cache)
OPERATING SYSTEM: Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit
MEMORY:
16GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz (4DIMMS)
VIDEO CARD: 1.5GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M
HARD DRIVE: 1.5TB Raid 0 (2x 750GB 7,200RPM)
LCD PANEL: 17.3-inch WideHD+ 1600 x 900 60Hz WLED
WIRELESS & BLUETOOTH: Intel® Ultimate N WiFi Link 6300 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO Technology
INTERNAL OPTICAL DRIVE: Slot-Load Dual Layer DVD Burner (DVD+-RW, CD-RW)
For 3,000 Buckeroo's.
This is an Alienware Laptop. SO I get snazzy other things too. Like I'm going to have "Nights Owl" engraved on a plate thats bolted to the back.
Opinions? Thoughts?

That sounds awesome. I would get that if I had the money. Totally worth it. How much is it? EDIT: oh, right.

Are they USB? I also heard this thing has like 4 vents on it. And is surprisingly quiet for Heavy Duty Fans.

Some are USB, some aren't. I'd probably go with a USB one.

Some AREN'T? What would they run on? Lol. I'd be surprised if I could afford them after buying this Behemoth.

AC or battery. I think most are USB.

Hmm. So do you think that price is a bit over kill for what I'm getting?

I payed 450 for the computer I have now, but it pales in comparison to that. And it was on sale. and it's a desktop. And it's not made for gaming.

I payed 300, (Actually 200 and my PSP) For my old laptop, Which was nothing compared to this.
It was like 3 Gigs Ram.
128 VRAM, and 2.2 GHZ duo.
The other one I got BROKE and I sold it for some profit.
I thought it was a good deal. I heard these things are made of aluminum and have glass over the screen. Which calls for a sturdy machine. I mean, You could drop it on the floor and it'd be fine.

That's pretty awesome. If only.... I'd finally be able to play some actual computer games.

Well I'm sure with 3.6 Ghz and 16 Gigs of RAM and 1.5 Gig VRAM, you could play almost any nowaday game.

Yep. I generally stay away from computer games since they're crap in comparison to console games, but Assassin's Creed looks good. It's interesting to note that the PS3, a three year old (i think?) console has a more powerful graphics card than we can give a computer.

Yep. The PS3 can have some pretty intense graphics. But to afford this, I'm actually thinking about selling my PS3. @_@''
I think its because Sony Made a special Graphics Card just for the PS3

I think every console does that now. You shouldn't sell your PS3, just sell a couple games. I honestly wish I had a PS3, but the 3DS and the PSP2 are top on my list now.

I have no clue what those specs mean.
I can't really help here. Personally, I prefer desktops.

They mean a supercomputer, in gaming terms.
Also, I personally don't trust Intel chips anymore, I'm using an AMD Athlon II X3 chip. Although I haven't used any of the higher up chips, in terms of the little number next to the i. So I'm not sure how good it is.

That's a little bit overpriced for a gaming laptop, but it's an alienware after all. It's supposed to cost a lot anyways. It overheats very easily from what my friend told me about his Alienware laptop, so be prepared to get another additional fan. Also, the processor is good, but not exactly perfect. Good RAM and hard drive storage. Overall, it's a top performance laptop, but the only thing that kills it is the cost.

Thanks Plasmis. I plan on having it in a mellow mood for games, Not Turbo Mode all the time.
I'm gonna get a 2 Fan USB for it, and I'll probably only have my games on Min Specs, to deal with that issue.
RAM is amazing, IMO for a laptop, HDD isnt a big deal to me, I have 3 1TB Externals around here somewhere. The 3000 dollar price tag is a big deal, but with a laptop that blows my friends desktops, and even my own gaming desktop out of the water, I think I'll be keeping it around for a long time. I love the personalization and the Plate. So I'm going to have fun with this thing. As wolf would say.
I've always been a sucker for LED lights too, and if I drop the dang thing (Thats what happened to my last one) It wont completely crumble. I've heard they're sturdy. I'll be sure to make Crusade videos with it too. Hopefully its good enough for that. lol
