Talk about just plain SSBC here. Tell about cool moments, ask something you don't want to make into a thread, etc. (made to not create spammed topics)

Guess I'll be the first to attempt at discussing something.
Even though it was a glitch, Teleporting would be the one mechanic I'd really like to see come back in Crusade, even though the control layout doesn't particularly allow for it. Teleported Drill-rests were amazing kill moves.

I was talking with a friend the other day, and I said, "I'm making a Smash Bros. game... Which of the three Smash games should it be most like?" And he said, "Melee. Definitely. It was so much more fun than Brawl or 64." I asked him why he thought that, and he went on to say that the gameplay was faster, the game felt more like a fighter, and it had more advanced techniques.
Well, right now, SSBC is mostly Brawl, but with more hitstun and a tiny bit faster. What do you think about speeding up the game or adding in new advanced mechanics?

Are you sure this friend of yours wasn't felipe? XD I ilke it how it is now. Brawl. Definitely. No, it's my neighbor. His name's John and he's a really good Melee and Brawl and Street Fighter 4 player who goes to tournaments and such. He knows his stuff. He can't beat my Mario in Melee though. ;D Sometimes I think the game could be faster, but the way it could be made faster without destroying the feel of the game, I think, would be to decrease horizontal stage boundaries on some stages.

I think it's fine, personally. There's the occasional glitch here and there, but it really feels like something of a combination of the three. Brawl/Melee hitstun, brawl-esque physics, 64 style...nostalgia? One thing you could work on to make the game go faster is make the edges only hold one person, because right now there's no limit to how many people can be on an edge. Or raise the bottom death line.

Yeah, the hitstun is a bit higher than Brawl's because being able to Luigi Nair out of just about any combo is stupid.
Only one can be on an edge at once. Try it.

Oh, I guess so. Maybe it's just that they can grab on just as you start climbing up? I've seen computers grab on while I'm still getting onto the stage, so that might've been it.

I thhik that Wavedashing would be unnecessary.
IMO, we need to focus on making the stages actually interesting.

Stages?eh?
They are a bit Blurry. Mute City needs more platform changes. I mean more Locations to fight.

I mean that half the stages don't have anything on them.

Look.
Final Destination. Battlefield. Mute City. Castle Siege. Asteroid Field.
They all are just a platform and more platforms.

FD and BF Don't count! They have to be so. MC is same as BF.I suggest to make it like Castle Siege, after a while it will move to a another platform. Asteroid Field needs a change. Castle Siege like Mute City.
