Originally the ruleset was 5-stock 6-minute 4-player FFA with all items on high, but after the TO saw my R.O.B. in the first round he changed it to a 6-minute KO fest "because the game isn't called Super Smash Brothers Run-away-and-time-your-opponents-out".
