Werekill brought up an interesting point about the Wiki after the recent events that have transpired: Do we need a new wiki? Personally, I think the current one should just have more restrictions on who can edit and stuff like that, but one of my other ideas was to make a section of this forum into a wiki. In doing this, the current Admins and Moderators would keep their authority without risking it with other members (which happened with KoopaRaider), and then only users could post comments and create wiki pages. Also, the current Admins and Moderators would be the only ones able to change the information on the WOP (Wiki Original Post), therefore preventing unnecessary alterations to information that are not approved by the developers.
So what do you guys think?

I could help put it together and lock needed topics from edits and posts. It's really depending on how much effort you wanna do on a "Forum Wiki"

I don't think topics would need to be locked, per say, since the information itself can only be edited by certain people. I'd be willing to build the whole thing myself over the weekend, but Werekill never did end up making me a Mod. I'd be fine just being one for the weekend so I can set it all up then going back to member status.

Unless it'd be a board, I say no. It'd be hard to keep track of where each article is, the format would be difficult, people could spam, etc.

I like this idea. It'd make life so much easier.

Actually, I just meant that we need a better SYSTEM. If we can stay on the wiki but make it harder for people to spam it, that would be fantastic.

My "only one admin" idea would work then. And just close comments. Elaboration: Only one person would be allowed to make and edit pages. Like you, or Phantom, or someone who has a bunch of time to spend on it. Then make it so you have to be an admin to make changes, and close comments as well. Make sure that one of the main dev team still has more power as an "admin admin" or something in case things get out of hand like they did last night.

It's a good idea to make the Wiki more restrictive. I wish we could just keep our current one and... Yeah, what Detta said. However, I think having a few admins is OK.
