There's been a whole lot of discussion about 4th party characters lately, but not a really any discussion about adding someone from .hack//.
So, I suggest we add Kite and possibly Haseo if there's still room, since they represent the two .hack// series.
Grading System stuff:
Kite:
Representation: 4.5. .hack//Infection-Quarantine were great games, the series had a great story, good graphics, all that kind of stuff. It's also one of the best RPGs I've ever played. I love MMORPGs, but getting a party and working together can be insanely difficult at times, but that wasn't the case in .hack// since it was a "fake MMO".
Popularity: 5. .hack// is a MASSIVE series that spans across three game series, around 7 manga series and light novels, multiple anime adaptations and a movie in full CGI. It also sparked its own MMORPG called .hack//fragment, but it never really kicked off, didn't leave japan, and now it's servers have been closed.
Moveset Potential: 5. Every different weapon Kite could wield gave him different attacks, including blade attacks and magic attacks. And there were a LOT of weapons for him to use. His final smash would obviously be Data Drain. Not only this, but he could do something like Goku (or be like Ryu and have an alternate selection) and be able to use his Azure Flame Kite character. The final smash would probably be the same though.
Uniqueness: 5. He would be the first (and possibly only) fourth party to originally be from a game, there aren't any other twin-blade-like characters (and certainly none that can use magic as well) and just imagine him going around as Azure Flame Kite.
Total: 19.5
I'll do one for Haseo when I have more time.
