The only one I've played is Sin and Punishment, and it is INSANELY FUN.
Its not too good for co-op, though, as only one person plays as the main character and one controls another aiming thing, but it feels exactly like an arcade game.

played soul calibur and tales.
Tales was pretty fun. I don't recommend it unless you have a LOT of free time. The co-op isn't terrible with how you can do it in story mode but the second person only gets to do things in battles which can be rare occurrences when your in a long story sequence.
Soul Calibur my brother liked a lot more than me. I found the controls sloppy at times and two player mode is hard unless you have a giant room/tv. Also, the multiplayer in general isn't all that great to begin with.
I've heard good and bad about sin and punishment. I've never heard of grinder so I can't help you there.

Sonic Colors is cool. I need to get it.
A good Gamecube game would be Star Wars: Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike. It has some of the best multiplayer and co-op modes I've ever seen in a video game.
Oh and Mario 3. :]

i have sonic colors but the person i play co-op games with hates sonic sinces his a mario fan

Wall•e's multiplayer was kinda fun.
All 3 smash bros games.
Pikmin 2.
Star Fox Assault.

I'd like to request a move to the arcade board.
NiGHTS is really fun, but I've never checked out its 2P before.
It'd probably be a race of some sort.

I personally enjoy it. The storyline is pointless, but the gameplay is fun.
Its more around the point of casual-hardcore gamers though.
