Why do you say +4 against Snake?

Simply put, Snake sucks and Bomberman's broken.
They're opposite ends of the spectrum.

Because right now, Snake sucks in this game. He's going to move up MASSIVELY in 1.0 though.
For these matchups, I'd say I agree with them. vs Krystal might be more of a neutral match though.

A lot of people seem to think Snake is a terrible character in the smash games. A well played Snake however is deadly. Bomberman isn't broken either.

Snake is amazing in Brawl. We said nothing about that.
And Generic proved that a Level 1 Bomberman could beat three level nine anyone elses.

Well, technically that was only by externally editing the game, so...
And IMO, bombie's broken-er than goku.

What do you find broken about him?

His Normal special can be easily spammed FSmash can go a long distance, have several hitboxes USmash hits many many times with great knockback And, for the grand finale, the spotlight...
If you're hit once by the easily subject to hitting final smash, there is no escape. The cutting adds for comobs, the bombs make great knockback to knock into the cutter, and he leads you upwards so you can KO.
He's not broken when someone uses it, but when the CPU uses it, GAME OVER.

He's almost impossible to use, but the CPU is nigh unbeatable.

His Normal special can be easily spammed But it's not an effective tacticFSmash can go a long distance, have several hitboxes This is true, also has great knockbackUSmash hits many many times with great knockback not arguing here eitherAnd, for the grand finale, the spotlight... If you're hit once by the easily subject to hitting final smash, there is no escape. The cutting adds for comobs, the bombs make great knockback to knock into the cutter, and he leads you upwards so you can KO. He's not broken when someone uses it, but when the CPU uses it, GAME OVER. Well the main point here, his FS, doesn't matter much. It's not a part of competitive play, and therefore doesn't add broken qualities. It's only broken on casual play terms, so you could argue that, but in terms of tier placement, this ability isn't pushing him upBomberman has great smash attacks, but not much else going for him.

Have you played against a high level Bomberman CPU?

I never play lower than max difficulty, I have played against bomberman many times. CPU skill has no bearing on matchups

Lucas and Ness are VERY easy to edgeguard and his Bombs are very useful in edgeguarding.
Snake is significantly easy to combo and Bomberman can combo him very easy. Snake is DOOMED when Bomberman starts spamming.

The spam isn't really useful, it's way too easy to get around. What combo's are you referring to?

I don't think bomberman is cheap at all and I don't think snake sucks either. But bomberman does spam quite a bit you could easily use snakes side special to cancel out the bombs. I don't main snake but I can easily beat a level 9 bomberman

I agree somwhat with Bomberman's matchups, but (not to give us devs too much credit ) I think that the matchup with Snake is more even than +4 Bomberman's favor. If Snake makes good use of his grenades, they can force Bomberman to shield/move around a lot. The only problem is that Snake is a lot slower. I'd say it's +2 or +3.

I disagree with the neutral matchup against Saki. He may not have the speed that Fox does, but the lasers leave Bomberman with few options. Bomberman can:
A) Shield: Doesn't help with with the large range and short cooldown of the lasers. B) Neutral Special: Would work if the bombs block lasers, but I don't think that's the case. Saki shields and continues lasering. C) Approaching: Works best if used with option B, but when Saki feels lasers are no longer safe it will turn to hand to hand where Bomberman is again at a disadvantage because of range issues.
I believe most of Bomberman's damage will come from short hopping around mid range and using Side special (which only works if Saki approaches foolishly instead of backing off or approaching intelligently)
Saki's damage will come from lasers and the occasional melee attack.
The only reason I see Saki as being even slightly lower than Fox is because Bomberman has an easier time edgeguarding Saki than Fox.
EDIT: Also, why is this not in individual character discussion?
