Think about King Boo, Should He Be in Crusade?
Neutral B: Lick Up - Press B to Start Licking Enemies with this tongue attack, then B or A to spit out.
Up B: Poof! - He can Teleport by Poof Here and Poof There, Can he
Poof Anywhere? Be Careful Though, There's only 3 seconds before you poof.
Side B: Boo Who? - Boo Hooo HEHEHEHE!!!! Send boos to stun people,Try to escape with out being stunned.... perhaps...
Down B: Scare Out - Hold B to charge up your Scare attack, then when something hits you..... BOOO!!! goes the idiot.
Final Smash: Boo YOU! - King Boo Holds up the Mansion's Jewel to Send out Boos from left and right to explode enemies when they touch them.

And you should count Yoshi as a Mario character on technicality.
Same with the Kongs.

Right. Forgot about them.
So adding yoshi and Geno makes 11.
Although DK originated with Mario, I would count them separately since he has his own series now that's independent of Mario.

I dont think that it is really a matter of already having too much Mario reps when it comes to King Boo, I think he is not a important character to the series. And one thing that is getting annoying to me on the polls is this. Why does everyone put "I dont know" "dont care" as options?  ? If a person doesnt know or doesnt care about the choices, dont you think they would not vote at all??? I bet most of the characters that had polls here would have a more solid polls if we leave it to two simple options, yes and no |

If there was a "Don't care" option, you see how many people don't care. If people don't vote, you have to guess at whether they've even seen the poll.

That's a lot of Mario.
I'm a big Mario fan, and King Boo never crossed my mind as being a playable character for this game, so that's saying something.

King Boo?
Uh, his only real, big appearance was Luigi's mansion, unless you count Mario Kart stuff. Unless I'm forgetting something. I mean, at least Rosalina has had more appearances in main stream Mario games.

Uh, never played it past the first star, so yeah...
I'm against King Boo in the official roster. Now, DLC, that might be a different story.
Also, I remembered that King Boo also appeared in Mario Party 8. But that is a spin-off, so I don't really count that.
