2. Take part of that person's username (or all of it if it's short).
3. Connect part (or all) to a different word.
4. Repeat several times.
5. ?????????
6. Nickname.
Example:
1. Nights Owl
2. Nights
3. Nights > Night
4. Night > Moon
4. Moon > Tsuki
5. ?????????
6. TSUKI-CHAN
Blah. Try it!

@Generic And-Wat: It's like Change One Word, but the word has to be mildly related. For mine, I went from Nights Owl to Nights to Night to Moon to Tsuki (japanese for Moon) then added the proper honorific to make Tsuki-chan.
For another example:
Generic > General > All-Encompassing
So through that process, your nickname would be Da All-Encompassing Name. DAEN.
