I'm sure that many of you have heard of Dr. Robotnick's Mean Bean Machine or Kirby's Avalanche but have never heard of Puyo Puyo. Puyo Puyo was the original one, and Mean Bean Machine/Avalanche are copycats. Puyo Puyo is a game originally created by a video game company named Compile (I loved their, "Act Against AIDS" slogan. XD). Compile went bankrupt eventually, and SEGA took it upon themselves to keep the game up (We've all heard of Sonic's 20th Anniversary, but Puyo Puyo's 20th Anniversary was on the same day and I'm almost sure nobody except Japan cares. Well, their new game Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary just came out and it ROCKS), starting with Puyo Puyo Fever (or Puyo Pop Fever, the only official Puyo game released in America. Though I think the first Puyo had an American arcade version. Not sure...). SEGA is still releasing Puyo Puyo games today, the latest being Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary for the DS (A huge fan will import it from Japan. I actually imported Puyo Puyo 7-the Wii version- from Japan AND softmodded my Wii JUST to play it. It was so worth it!).
I suppose if you've played the game or heard about it, discuss it here.

I actually heard about this game through that old eyetoy Sega superstar game or whatever. Never really played the REAL one though...But the eyetoy version was fun...
