I went to download 0.7, and I can't open the file,
and the 7-zip link didn't lead to anything. Can someone tell me what I can use to open the file? (that isn't WinZip)

You don't need anything. Double-click. It extracts itself.

7zip should be able to extract it. If that doesn't work, redownload the demo just to be sure.

Just to be sure, you did double click on the SSBC exe? And you're running some sort of Windows?
