A discussion about Mr. Game and Watch

That's right guys, we're talking about Mr. Game and Watch.
I know some of you may have played the Game and Watch games back in the past and seen him in Melee and Brawl. But today, he's here in Crusade so discuss away!

First. I think GAW is great. His Smashes are very powerful, has a good combo ability, a broken Final Smash (though in some stages its pretty easy to avoid) and having a OHKO move. GAW is awesome.

Due to the final smash, G&W should be right below Goku on the rankings list, lol.
He's basically a glitch festival. I've found so many of his in one day.
Extremely fun with all of those.

Like Yoshi, but kicks ass instead of getting his ass kicked. Also, you guys gonna add a flooring feature sometime? I love his down throw mindgames in Brawl.

Dthrow can still mindgame into uair. That being said, knockdown sprites would be nice.

Please explain! Everyone keeps talking about G&W glitches, but I haven't seen any specifics yet.

Well, the big deal is that his final smash can go on forever....and he can also absorb physical projectiles, not just energy ones...

Mr. Game&Watch's S-Special is a bit odd. Try facing left when using it and you'll see what I mean.
G&W can move slightly side to side when using his D-Special, the Bucket, in the air, which shouldn't happen. It should stop all momentum.
G&W feels like he falls a bit too fast. I can't perform a single SHBA properly.
G&W's D-tilt feels like it's much more spammable than it should be.
His FS doesn't work like it should. He only gets one jump, the tentacles go through Final Destination, you can't control when they get longer like you can in Brawl.
When ledge jumping, he disappears for a short time.
Using his N-Air, he can go through Bumpers safely.

I had an entire section for him too...
I don't think any of these were fixed in the patch. Maybe the ledge-jumping one.

Oh and these:

Using G&W's D-Special in the air and moving backwards, he can move slowly along the ground while holding the bucket out.

Holding the jump button while using G&W's Final Smash will allow him to move upwards until it ends, often resulting in a Star KO. G&W should have two slightly higher than normal jumps, but instead he has one that lasts as long as you want.

Oh yeah, there's this too:

First off, G&W doesn't get hurt by getting a 1 on judgement.
6. G&W's down special doesn't stay in down special after absorbing something. Just saying, this was how it was in Melee and Brawl, but if you wanted to change it fine with me.
7. The CPUs don't realize that you're absorbing their projectiles with G&W's down special if you keep on doing it. It leads to simple winning.
8. Get a superspicy curry and activate your final smash with G&W. You have a red outline. It's awesome.
9. If you face left with G&W and use side special, the numbers are reversed.
10. G&W's side special has a shadow. Last I checked, G&W didn't even have a shadow, but I can't be sure about that.
15. If you're mini G&W and use your up special, it's impossible to turn the other way once you go a certain direction.
16. GAW's up special doesn't make people bounce up if they touch the thing that boosts you up.
17. You can't turn left and right with G&W's bucket.
18. G&W's bucket can absorb physical projectiles like Samus's missle and MH's bullet.

FALCON, you removed Lucas Slope's Slide. But G&W haves it now. Seriously, just add it, dont try to remove, the only way to fix it is change the slope system, and i am sure that is going to a pain in the ass. Just leave slope slide as an advanced technique. Is pretty situational.

Any concerning G&W place on the tier list cannot contain anything related with final smashes XD

G&W haves:

- Excellent air and grounded game
- Good grabs
- Great smashes
- a good juggling capability
- Good recovery
- Great stage control on stage with slopes
- A decent wavedash (In fact, is the only useful WD in the game,because it can efectively dodge smashattacks and punish them

No, of course I don't make characters intentionally slide across the stage during moves where they appear to be standing. >.> By the way, on a similar note, I fixed C. Falcon's Reverse Falcon Punch sliding (but gave it more range anyway).

The Down B ending after absorbing a projectile is intentional, though. I wanted to make it so that G&W players must absorb 3 separate projectiles using three separate Oil Panic moves.

Also, Slope Slide again? I haven't run into that yet. That probably means some other characters in the game can do it too. I just fixed it now as far as I can tell.

Finally, yeah, Game & Watch is a strong character in 0.7. I want the game to play out a bit more to figure out what to change about him. I have already lowered his fall speed a bit, and it feels better than before.
