Viewtiful Joe is more known for Action and Platforming. It is considered a beat em up, but Final Fight is more or less a actual beat em up as there is no Platforming involved.
And as for that, Final Fight is known as the King of the genre.

Have you played Viewtiful Joe? There's less platforming than something like Metal Slug. It's definitely an action game, true... One of FE's newcomers was a clone... quick and easy to add, and the other one was used as an advertisement.

In SSBM's debug menu, Marth is called Mars (Jap name) and Roy is called Emblem, possibly showing that they intended to have another FE character, but didn't know who. Roy may be the clone.

There is no MAY. He IS the clone. Marth is always unlocked before Roy, and Roy's box is detatched, just like the other clones.

Marth could only stab with his sword in his original games. He did none of that in Melee (They gave it to him in Brawl). Everything Roy did was a slash. Roy's neutral special comes from his own game! Marth stole it!

That may be true, but are you aware that Ness has attacks that others in his series used, but he didn't? So what if Marth borrowed some sword techniques, he was added in Smash before Roy. Melee originally didn't have Doc, Pichu, Roy, Ganon, Yink, or Falco. The six of them were added to beef up the roster because Sakurai felt it was too small.

Not only that, but he added the clones because Melee's development was actually finished a bit early than expected. So he used that extra time to add the clones.

Guys... roymaster clearly really likes Roy, and he's probably his favourite character. Plus, no one knows for sure which was a clone of the other. So there's no proper right or wrong in the argument. As far as I see it, you guys are just trying to drill into a Roy fan that Marth is better. It's like a light version of cyber-bullying. Seriously.
Besides, they're barely clones. They have similar animations and specials, yeah, but their playstyles are different to the extreme. Marth uses speed and hitstun. Roy uses power and range. Just because their moves are similar doesn't make them clones. It's like saying Ganondorf is a clone of Falcon.

Dry, you have no idea what you're talking about.
We are NOT saying Marth is better, in fact, I prefer Roy myself.
But it IS true that he's a clone (or as Sakurai put it, a "model-swap character"), as he was added AFTER Marth.
And you don't know what a clone is. A clone is a character that copies a character's moves, REGARDLESS of different properties. And yes, Ganon is a clone of Falcon. Look up Clone on the Smash Wikia and edumacate yourself.

....... GET OUT OF WALUIGI TOPIC. Seriously, though. This rant went from a Chun-Li rant to a FE clone discussion. >_>

lol, that's how discussions flow. Anyway, Chun-Li. She's fine in the roster for now, because she was already confirmed for the final roster. She just got in early.

We knew Chun Li was planned for the roster, but it surprised me that she got into this demo. I wasnt expecting her till demo 0.8 or later.

Falcon made her for something else so we thought it would be nice to have her in the next demo since she's already finished. However, I don't think we'll do that for any other unlockables.

Every time I see a character like Chun-li in, it makes me worried that characters I actually care about might not make it, because of the 80 character limit and the constantly adding reps for a single series or company.
How many Capcom reps are there now, anyway?

It's between 5-8. Those are the numbers for all three of the "main" 3rd parties (Konami, Sega and Capcom), but I can't remember the exact numbers for each one. If the character you care about is being worked on and has been confirmed, there's no need to worry. If the character you care about is in the wishlist polls and is getting a decent number of votes, it's very unlikely that they'll be cut out. Otherwise, I guess I agree with you.

The thing is, there are far better, diverse and unique capcom reps out there, such as Haggar, Phoenix and Viewtiful joe.
Compared to those, chun li offers next to nothing.
