Why this waste of roster space put her in the game? Do we really need TWO street fighter chacters? Especially with one with 4 final smashes and 2 forms. Added to that. You gave Chum-Li two FSes as well.
Now exactly what did Street Fighter do to gain two reps? Representation was already covered by Ryu. And as for uniqueness, a lot of her moves are already to similar to other characters(NSpecial and FSpecial are identical to Ryu's, down smash is Goku's, combo is Fox's, etc.).
Now, I could somewhat understand if you had two SF characters and 1 Megaman character, because both SF and Megaman are like the mascots, but you still have both. And at that, Capcom currently has the majority of 3rd parties at 7. Seriously, 7? THAT'S ALMOST 1/10TH OF THE ROSTER! They were never even mentioned in SSB in the past. WHAT GIVES THEM THE RIGHT TO HAVE 7 REPS? Sega has 6 because they were Nintendo's rival. Konami SHOULD have 4 because they were the first party in SSB, and because they don't have many good reps for SSB. CAPCOM should have 4-5 because they're a large company, but never did anything for smash. Heck, even 6 would be OK, being tied with SEGA. But seriously. This is bias.

You're crazy. You haven't seen an updated roster in a few months. There are 4 Konami reps and you can play as 2 of them already.
Now, Capcom. Capcom is second to only Nintendo when it comes to gaming. 7 Reps doesn't even cover what they offer, but we have to have a limit. That's just enough for a roster with 80 Characters.
Street Fighter is the most critically acclaimed fighting game ever made. No Street Fighter game never received bad reviews. AND it's a fighting game. AND it's a fighting game that is featured in many cross-overs. There are 2 characters that are always in those cross-overs: Ryu and Chun-Li.

And I'm told I'm crazy on a daily basis so nothing new Opinion. You cover their fighting side with 3 characters (Ryu, Chum-Li, Morrigan), their platforming side with 4 characters(Megaman, Zero, Arthur, Viewtiful Joe) their beat-em-up side with 0 characters, and their puzzle side(which had some Street Fighter spin-offs, mind you) with 0 characters. Really, that's too many. See? Double Negatives equal positives. If you mean ever, Ryu heavily represents that. With four final smashes and two forms. You don't see two SMG reps, do you? Notice that those are by capcom itself.

I really don't see Chun Li offering anything, representation or gameplay wise.

Capcom being second is no opinion. Their games get better scores than Sega, Namco, and Konami.
I really don't understand what you're trying to say with the reps. If there are too many, why do you care how many puzzle characters there are?
Yes Ryu represents Street Fighter, but it's so big, Chun-Li also needs to be included. Sonic games got pretty negative reviews for awhile, but we have 5 of them.
Yes, the cross-overs are done by Capcom because they are that good. Thanks for helping my argument.

I really don't understand what you're trying to say with the reps. If there are too many, why do you care how many puzzle characters there are? So that all sides can have a fair share of representation? No, it's so big, Ryu could have 4 final smashes and two separate forms. EDIT: Back. Like Sonic and Sega Superstars racing, Sega Superstars Tennis, that crossover game they had for the eyetoy, and smash bros? Added to that, Tatsunoko vs capcom received similar, if not worse reviews to Klonoa by Namco, yet he isn't in the roster. Not to mention SNK vs capcom 2 got mediocre reviews similarly to X-Men vs Street Fighter got meh reviews. Capcom receives better scores than most Pacman, Soul Calibur, and Klonoa games? The wonderful Castlevania series(mostly classic), the new MGS, the old Contra? SEGA's Ristar, Vectorman, Comix Zone-mostly classic games? And Capcom didn't have bad games? Not like Street Fighter 2010, Street Fighter: The Movie: The arcade game, Dr. Wily's revenge(kinda), Megaman game gear(kinda), Rockman & Forte Mirai kara no Chôsensha, Mega Man: The Power Battle, Wily & Right no RockBoard: That's Paradise, Megaman Soccer, Super Adventure Rockman, Megaman command mission, Megaman X7, Megaman Battle Network, etc.? Actually....Megaman didn't seem too good. :/ If anything, Zero should be replaced by Megaman X as an alt swap for Megaman, because there seems to be quite a bit of bad Megaman games... Also: www.vgf.com/forums/capcom/75786-bad-capcom-games.htmlAlso, Chun-li's moves. Combo: Fox's combo. Ftilt: A simple punch. Forward Smash: Goku's ftilt. Down Tilt: Leg Sweep. Mario's dtilt. Down Smash: Goku's down smash. Up Tilt: Axe Kick. See C.Falcon or Samus. Up Smash: Goku's Up Tilt. Dash attack: Backwards Goku's fsmash, or running Fox's up smash. NSpecial: Goku's nspecial. SSpecial: Goku's side special. DSpecial: Meteor smash of Sonic's fair. Up Special: Basically Toad's up special, but without the suspension at the end. Nair: a kick in front. See Mario's nair. Fair: A punch somewhat diagonally downwards. IIRC, Ryu has a similar move. Dair: Kicks downwards, hopping off. Basically a mix of a footstool jump and Lucario's dair. UAir: kicks upwards. Bair: kicks behind her. Throws are very simple. FS1 is a simple combo move that puts the opponent in the air vertically. Basically Ristar's, but moves. Or could be compared to Lucario's. FS2 is a large sphere. So really she's not all that unique.

You can do that for any character. You know, compare their moves to others and don't describe them in any detail.
I like how you didn't bother to look at Namco, Konami, or Sega's bad games. Sonic sucked for almost 10 years.

What's wrong with Chun-Li in the game? She was planned for the final roster, she had her sprites finished early, she got in early. If any of the other 3rd party characters got finished earlier, they would be in the same situation.

They would. The roster works together, never alone.

Sonic sucked for almost 10 years. This is subjective. Reviews aren't everything you know. In fact the only game that truly sucked in that timeline is Sonic 06. Everything else was simply lacking compared to older games, but by no means sucked. (Unless you're on the Sonic hate bandwagon)

You can do that for any character. You know, compare their moves to others and don't describe them in any detail. When their moves are almost the exact same as others? Yes. Did I mention that they had bad games? No. You said that Capcom had good games. When in all honesty, they do, but they have bad games, which you didn't seem to acknowledge. So basically, guess what? They're equal, and capcom being better is opinion! Yaaaaaaay!

Everyone has bad games. Capcom has less than Sega, Namco, and Konami.

I doesn't matter at all. An unnessecary character is an unnessecary one.

But Chun-Li isn't unnecessary. If she is, then wouldn't Lucas be? Ness represents the Mother series himself.

Ness and lucas have been protagonists of different games, lucas is less of a clone and lastly, he was in brawl.

AND, Chun-Li is unnecessary because we have Ryu, ANOTHER Street Fighter Newcomer.
In my eyes, a Newcoming series should only get 1 character to start. I feel Chun-Li wouldn't have gotten so much flak if she was just an add-on to Crusade after it was finished.

I don't mind having Chun-Li in Crusade personally. My only problem is the amount of reps for Capcom. I feel that 5 is a fair number.

VJoe is beat-em-up, so that is covered anyways.
I don't mind Chun-Li, I just think that spot could have been put to better use.
