I really don't have too much of a problem with this Roster.
Except for Lip, who Sakurai doesn't want in because of her skirt (stupid reason).
And Bomberman, as he's a Konami character now, so that would give Konami two characters while Sega and Capcom get one.

And Bomberman, as he's a Konami character now, so that would give Konami two characters while Sega and Capcom get one. If you could see up Peaches dress, then what's the problem with Lips skirt? (Sakurai Logic) I put Lip as the WTF character, because she represents a puzzle game, and nobody would probably expect her. I'd say she has a chance. I forgot about that with Bomberman. I was going to put Pacman, but then I thought i'd get complaints. |

Lip is a little girl. It's Pedo issues he does not want. Otherwise, the next Smash would be banned in some countries like Dead or Alive Dimensions is.

To represent the Puzzle genre, I'd say Dr. Mario.
To be a Japanese retro character, Takamaru.
To be ANY kind of retro, I say Mach Rider or Duck Hunt Dog.

Dr. Mario would Un-balance the Mario side from Pokemon and Zelda, plus, that'd make 3 Marios, so probably not him. Takamaru is another Sword Character, so probably not him, either, for the sake of trying not to be too bland. Mach Rider would work, judging by what he does in Crusade, here, but Sakurai said he would have trouble making him off his bike. He'd obviously never look at Crusade. (unless he does) Duck Hunt Dog would actually be a great WTF character. A moveset based on Duck Hunt Ducks and even the NES Light Gun and Super Scope. Plus, He'd be like MODOK in MVC3. The perfect Troll character. So, I'd say he'd be a good choice, then. |

Just because someone has a sword, it doesn't mean that they are bland. Takamaru has more to offer than just his sword. Kunai, fireballs, electric mines, etc.
As for Mach Rider, Sakurai said that for Excitebiker, not Mach Rider, IIRC. So I think Mach Rider is still open. I could be wrong, it'd happened before.
But I see what you mean with DHD being the Troll character. By all means, add him in. I LIKE Troll characters.

I'm not saying Marth and Link have the same moveset, I'm just saying that we have quite a bit of swordfighters already. Although, I didn't know Takamaru had the ability to use those weapons. That would add a whole different kind of style. Hopefully, not the same style as Link, though. At least that makes a bit more sense. I could surely understand not having a moveset for Excitebiker, but Mach Rider has things to offer. IF YOU THINK I'VE EVOLVED BEYOND THE JOYS OF LAUGHING AT YOUR FAILURE, YOU'D BE WRONG. |
