Since I am now the person making Ridley, I am now in charge of his Moveset.
Since I like pleasing fans of stuff, I'll let you guys make up the moves for me. That is, if you want to. Any moves no one can think of, I'll make up myself. So, I'll document the move suggestions I get on the move-list below, and if I get multiple, I'll pick whichever seems better.
(This Moveset is By Teh Generic Name Kun, and edited by me. Feel free to suggest other moves. Stats and key gameplay elements provided by Excalibur.)
Ridley's Stats:
Overall, he has pretty good buffs here to make him high tier. Now to give him a few nerfs so that noobs won't use him all the time. So that he's high tier when used by people who use the appropriate techniques.
Nerfs:
Pretty much a bit lighter than Mario, and a fast fall speed between Fox's and Wolf's in Brawl. Faster than Fox's, slower than Wolf's. So that he can have not both an easier time to combo, but in a sense, he'll be easier to be chain grabbed and combo'd a bit too. It also nerfs the ease of his recovery a bit like it does to both Fox and Wolf. (Again, an easier time recovering than Wolf, harder time than Fox, mid air jumps-wise.)
Basically, all attacks involving the tail act like Marth's sword, the tip always has extra damage and knockback, but it has to be sweet-spotted.
Jab Combo- Claw swipe, second swipe, then turns around and attacks with a tail sweep.
Side Tilt- Ridley does a two-move attack where he swipes his tail back and fourth in front of the opponent.
Up Tilt- Attacks with wings simultaneously above him. Same knockback and damage as Fox's u-tilt in Brawl/Project M.
Down Tilt- Ridley swipes his tail in front of him. Has a sweet spot with more damage and knockback at the end of the tail, due to the spike. Like how Charizard's d-tilt worked in Brawl, only Ridley uses his tail.
Side Smash- Ridley dashes forward, attacking with his claw. A bit faster than Bowser's (In Brawl), a bit slower than Kirby's. Decent power, and a bit of more range than Bowser's.
Up Smash- Ridley soars into a flip. Slower, but a bit more powerful than Fox's in Brawl.
Down Smash- Ridley spins around, attacking with his tail on both sides. Like a mix of ROB's and DDD's d-smashes in Brawl, same execution speed as Fox's, and a few multi-hits like ROB's. Though not as many hits as ROB does.
Dash Attack- Ridley ascends and scrapes his feet on the floor.
Neutral Air- Spins in a fast, multi-hitting ball.
Forward Air- Ridley Flips, and slams the opponent with his tail. This is a Meteor Smash.
Backward Air- Ridley swipes his tail back quickly. Good for a Wall of Pain. Tip of the tail has a sweet spot for added damage and knockback.
Up Air- Ridley stabs his tail upwards. This is good for juggling.
Down Air- Sticks tail right beneath him to stab. If he hits the ground while doing this (not the enemy), he bounces.
Standard Special- Ridley shoots a fireball. If used in the air, it goes diagonally downwards, and makes a light explosion upon contact, which does no damage, but it stuns the opponent. If you use it in the ground, it bounces like Marios Fireball, but it bounces higher and is bigger. You can rapid-fire shoot them by pressing the b button repeatedly. This can be done up to 10 fireballs until he automatically stops shooting.
Side Special- Ridley gusts his wings forward, like he does in the fight against him in SSBB. Ridley can do this in the air, and on the ground. It works like F.L.U.D.D. and Water Gun, only it can't be charged, and it lasts for 3 seconds. It blows the opponent back the same as F.L.U.D.D. and Water Gun when they're half charged. The initial Flap of Ridleys wings will cause some damage, and knock the opponent into the gust.
Up Special- Ridley does a Flying Grab/Throw. Similar to Meta Knight's Up Special, but the loop goes forward instead of backwards in a Up/Forward diagonal. Anyone who gets touched by this loop will be grabbed in his arms. From here, Ridley throws the enemy downward under him, similar to Gokus Up Air.
Down Special- Ridley shoots a large fireball. It can be charged to be bigger and more damaging. Ridley can also hold this charge in his mouth by stopping it, like Lucario or Samus, and continue charging later. If fully charged, it should do damage equivilent to two Bob-Omb explosions. If used in the air, Ridley would shoot it diagonally downards.
Final Smash- Ridley jumps up to the sky, then rams into the opponent(s) from the backround. If the opponent is near Ridley when he innitiates the attack, They become buried, almost guaranteeing a hit. If not, The attack is very easy to avoid. It almost guarantees a K.O. if it hits.
Forward Throw- Ridley Flies forwards, sliding the opponents face on the ground, then lets them fly.
Backward Throw- Ridley grabs the opponent with his tail, and tosses them away.
Up Throw- Ridley slashes the opponent upwards.
Down Throw- Ridley Torches the opponent, then slams them into the ground, leaving them there.
Shield- Covers self with wings.
Taunt- Ridley crouches and roars.
