I'm somewhat of an "outsider" if you want to call it that. I discovered Crusade around Demo 0.6's release. Then I wasn't as interested, but recently I started playing it more and more and thus became more impressed and now I've decided to sign up to the forums. I'm new, obviously, and not very knowledgeable about Super Smash Bros in general, so pardon me if I make some sort of mistake here.
What I'm most impressed with is the AI. It's incredibly well-made for a Game Maker game, some of its functions I never knew were possible with such a simple programming language. However it does have its faults (such as using the shield almost every time I try to attack the CPU)
The roster is incredibly sizable, with a plethora of cool characters, but I've found (your mileage may vary) it to be somewhat unbalanced as of yet. Some characters play smoothly, yet others are almost unplayable. Maybe I just suck, but again, I'm no expert.
One minor complaint I have is that some characters' sprites are unfitting, namely Mega Man, Goku, and to an extent, Ryu and Chun Li. Having all these differently-styled sprites is distracting and makes the game look too "busy", in my opinion.
That's really all I have to say for now. If you disagree, there is no need to pointlessly flame me. If I made an invalid point or similar, feel free to enlighten me.
