is not very secure.
You should set each individual board so that only registered members can post threads and replies. (which is an option available in the admin control panel, under the board management category if you weren't aware)
This just leads to more spam such as this and is a potential pain in the ass to remove. And taking into account the popularity of the forum and game in general is expanding exponentially, it's a good idea to consider.

Yeah, I don't really understand the guest posting thing either. Werekill should really look into disabling it.

I never saw a problem with guest posting, but whatever.

Have you noticed that some threads have random, unneeded posts by guests that are potentially just a quote of one post, occasionally being a bump, but having no words other than the quote, though?

There are those posts sometimes, but they're rare, and it's really not all that annoying. I'm sure there aren't enough people out there who kill time by subtlely trolling an obscure fangame website to make this guest post thing disable-worthy.

Guest post is also useful is someone gets locked out of their account for some reason or another.

Guest post is also useful is someone gets locked out of their account for some reason or another. You mean like being banned?

For every "good intention", there's always a million more ways to take advantage of it.

I've seen people lose passwords, and people who don't want to log in because the connection isn't secure can use the guest thing. Another use is that if someone gets hacked, they can protest it.
Any banned members might use the guest thing, but if they abuse it for reasons other than politely asking why they were banned, we can easily ban the ip.
