-Main control scheme will be Classic Controller, as the Wii U is not compatible with Gamecube tech. The tablet controller won't be for controlling characters, but there will be a use for it. Sounds logical. No,It not sounds logical.If I recall correctly,you can connect your Wii Mote and Nunchuck on the WiiU.So,therefore,you will be able to play whit Wii Mote,Classic Controler and Wii Mote+Nunchuck. That's my guess. Nintendo should make an adaption so you can place something on your Wii Remote and plug in your Gamecube controller. |

Even better than the N64 controller when playing a Smash game in my opinion. Playing it on the Wii Mote with or without Nunchuck is way too odd and confusing. I heard the classic controller is better than the Wii Mote, but still not as good as the Gamecube controller. Hey, maybe there is a chance we can use the WaveBird Sounds more likely. Megmaman - YES. Bison - okay to me. Could be Ryu insted. |

I think it would be great if it can at least work with the WaveBird, but I see one big problem here. Now correct me if Im wrong, since I never owned a WaveBird myself. But yea, isnt that square plug in only capable of working on Gamecube & Wii only since the outlet only fits in a Gamecube socket, something the Wii U will not have? If so, then the WaveBird would be impossible to use on the Wii U. Also here is something that will get everyone's attention at the moment. I'm searching for updates on Smash Bros 4 development and I come across this  www.1up.com/news/next-super-smash-bros-game-called-universeThis link has a picture of some sort of paper/document with the picture of the SSB4 logo. Apparently, the new game will be called Super Smash Bros Universe (with the "U" in Universe being the Wii U logo). Also, it gives some details of SSB4. 1. More 3rd party support (possibly more 3rd party characters) 2. Removal of Tripping (Prat Falling) 3. Increase the movement speed of Samus (based off her speed in Other M) Now, this is only a rumor itself. I'm highly doubt that this is real, but then I could be wrong. What you guys think? |

Doubt it. Firstly, why would they already have the English logo? Secondly, why isn't the title a fighting name when all the others have been? Number 2 and 3 are somewhat believable, but I don't think third party support will happen. Also, the text looks way under quality to read anything(even in Japanese)aside from one line that looks like a title.

Yea, I found it odd how it is called Universe. Since Melee, the Smash Bros title usually had a synonym for fighting on it.

There was also mention that the Mario series has had "tremendous growth" since Brawl (possibly referring to the Galaxy titles, NSMBW, and the upcoming 3D Land), and that will be reflected.
Also, the Other M comment referred to how the game expanded on not only Samus, but Ridley. Possible Ridley confirmation?
Something like the badge system from The World Ends With You is an idea that is considered.
He feels Mother and F-Zero are "finished" and has no ideas for additions. (Possibly meaning no new characters will be added from these two series)

In all retrospect, it shouldn't have been brought up here. This topic is specifically for the /v/ "leak".
EDIT: I should've mentioned this sooner. The "leak" for this thread is confirmed fake. The guy that posted it on Gamefaqs has been making similar ones for Mario Kart 7, and the connection? Referring to Diddy Kong Racing, his FAVORITE GAME.

I know this thread was originally made to discuss the rumors from /v/, but with so many rumors spilling all over the place, why not just make this thread be for the purpose of keeping track of any rumor that comes around. At least till a Dojo site opens, if it does.

DGN: Brawl was made by a ton of third party companies in conjunction with Sora, Ltd. I'mma wait for this to be confirmed/disconfirmed to actually comment on the stuff.

I believe he's referring to the fact that there hasn't been a new game since the GBA anime-inspired game. GX was the last game in the game canon as well. @sk: I'll change the topic accordingly then. Also, The World Ends With You is a game. @werekill: The image didn't come from /v/. It came from sylphys, a Japanese image site which apparently leaked things before. |
