Laharl is the Prince of the Underworld. He's strong, quick, and doesn't afraid of anything except sexy women. Laharl would use mostly sword attacts and powerful attacks for his specials. Laharl would be a light character with heavy power and most of his specials would require charging. While Laharl can jump high and move quick, knocking him out shouldn't be much of a problem. Prinny is a dead soul who did a lot of sin in his past life. Prinnies work for their lives back. Some just battle along side their overlord. This Prinny will be blessed with similar stats as Laharl, the only difference is that he will attack a lot faster but deal a lot less damage. His specials can cause destructive damage however. Ash from Phantom Brave. To be honest I don't care for him, I only added him to the poll because he's cool looking. If you want to know about him yourself, then look him up. Etna is the sexy demon of the underworld. Originally she wanted to kill Laharl, but once she regained her memories back, she learned that she had to take care of Laharl. She eventually became close with him. Etna has midranged moveset. With speed and power, she's a character not to be messed with. Finally Quote. Ever since Quote joined the team of Nippon Ichi, he's becomes insanely famous. More famous then Nintedo ever made him. If anybody should have a shot, it's him.

Most of these characters are just too unpopular....and Quote is fourth party. Bias-wise, I'd choose Quote, though.

I will have to say no to all of them. None of them are fitting or Smash worthy in my opinion.

Quote and Ash. Phantom Brave has been on my list of games to play for a while, and Cave Story is Cave Story. Generic's incorrect, Quote would be 3rd party because he still originated in a video game. I was also thinking of contacting NIS and Pixel and asking them about Quote. You could say I have a plan.

ACTUALLY ACTUALLY ACTUALLY
Just because he is a video game character, does NOT necessarily make them 3rd party. A third party company is a company that makes stuff to be spread about to different sources. In this case, SEGA would be third party, as they make Sonic games, which are made for multiple consoles; thus making Sonic 3rd party.
HOWEVER, now lets look at Master Chief. He would be FOURTH party. How so? He is made specifically for the Xbox, by Microsoft. Microsoft makes stuff for the Xbox, no one else. Master Chief is fourth party, as Microsoft is in no way affiliated with Nintendo.
Just wanted to clear that up. However, since Cave Story has been ported onto different consoles, he would still be third party.

The thing I was correcting Generic on was that he said Quote is 4th party for not debuting in a "video game", but a computer game (which still qualifies as a video game). He's still 3rd party because he's now shared by Pixel, an independent developer, and NIS, a 3rd party developer. Also, every official Cave Story game since the original PC one has been released exclusively on a Nintendo console or handheld.

Mind you, that post was made before some people of the xat said that Snake came from a computer game as well. So yeah. I'll vote Quote.

None of these are that important. Voted for no one. They might not be important to Nintendo, but they are supremely important to NIS. Represnting from different companies can get this game famous in multiple areas very quickly. I.E. Prinny in a Smash Fan Game = NIS Fanbois downloading the game = Profit. No matter what you say, A rep is always important.

So a couple of things: Prinny hasn't had a game on a Nintendo console. By the looks of it, Quote is co-owned by Pixel, Nicalis AND NIS, since Nicalis did the Wii and DSi ports but NIS is doing the 3DS remake. I'm assuming we'd have to get permission from all three to use him.
