Meta Knight is BANNED as of Unity Ruleset v2.0

Today at 5pm EST, the Brawl Back Room Ruleset Committee released version 2.0 of their Unity Ruleset. There weren't a whole lot of changes due to one big change: Meta Knight has been banned nationally (in the US and Canada), effective January 9th, 2012 (until then, the ban is "optional").

What are all your opinions on this? As a person who's recently gone to quite a few tourneys and has had to beat up his fair share of Meta Knights (as well as him being my main's worst matchup) I'm glad this happened. Looking at all the data, this should even out the tournament winnings quite a bit and redistribute them across most of the cast. It will also allow those who decided to stick with their original main instead of "playing to win" as MK to have a better chance in tourneys.

Wow. Meta Knight was finally banned after the past years. He won enough tourneys. Every other character needs a chance. Meta Knight did not give them that chance.

I am glad of that, but i am retired from brawl already. They took to long to do it.

It will be banned in Jan 9 (After APEX)

EDIT: Never, DDD screws Snake. Falco and Diddy are better than marth.

Diddy is a near-broken character due to his bananas. He might be banned, but he does have some counters like Snake.

He won't be banan'd (lolpun). Neither Diddy nor Snake was nearly as broken as MK. Meta Knight was broken at the FRAME level. His worst matchup was an even with Diddy. With Meta Knight gone everything will become a bit more balanced.
