As I'm sure most of you know, the devs have pretty much given up on Crusade. However, I, as well as the community, have not. As such, I present to you: Project: Crusade!Forum is here! Yay Motionsforum!Basically it's going to be a continuation of Crusade but with some roster changes and much more balanced characters (yay Broku will be fixed). Most decisions will be made by popular vote on behalf of the entire community (roster discussion will be about 95% public) to prevent any issues between the devs and the community. I'll be the head coder and developer, and there will be a number of teams to ease the workload and allow the game to progress much faster (Balancing Team, Spriting Team, Graphics Team, etc.) that are largely run by the community. As for the Open Source part of Crusade, it will be the engine, Mario, Luigi, Final Destination and Battlefield, and should be released sometime next week. The old Motionsforum will be used for everything about Crusade's open-source stuff.So yeah. I'll make a nice-looking OP and all that eventually, but for now this is all that's needed. |

The other devs and I have only agreed to let other people see the code for this game if it is for the purpose of developing SSBC, not another game. I do plan to release the code to be open-source one day.
The AI code for this game is not going to make much sense to you anyway, in all likelihood, since it isn't well-documented at the moment and is broken up into parts that deal with individual characters in the game. That being said, it may be a good idea to just let it be.

1. You're taking what he said way out of context.
This means that they'd let others see the code ONLY if they were going to continue work on Crusade, like I am.
As for the actual open-source bit, as I said, I'm releasing an open source version of the game in a little while.

I think I may actually try to actively help with this finally. Before, I've just sat back and make 1 or 2 sprites, but I think I'll finish an actual character (technically I already made two complete ones but we don't talk about them). I'm also considering doing a re-vamp of Saki just for kicks, but that can be up to popular decision and etc.
