I main pika in brawl, and I can say he was definitely not cheap. All his multi hit moves can be DI'd out of, thunder is only viable if the opponent is high, fsmash sweetspot is at his cheeks instead of the bolt; he has one of the worst range/grab ranges, qac is mostly for flash/mindgames; thunder jolt is not a problem for people good at powershielding; he's mostly good at quick short combos and a moderately good chaingrab. As for the back air, I like brawls better than 64, but both better than crusade. Look at a vid for the 64 bair hitbox and you'll see the difference between it and crusade's. But that's just me  |

The up special can be held with the same arrow key to, for instance, if you were holding up, he'd go up once, twice. Whereas in every other game, you'd have to tilt the direction to go twice.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T CHANGE THIS.
Plz change this.

I think a few moves of his are underpowered, but maybe bringing just those few up will help. FYI, in 0.6 I made some buffs to Pikachu: - More knockback and damage on Bair - More knockback on Up Smash - More stun on FThrow - More knockback on BThrow - More knocback/speed on Thunder - Forward Tilt makes Pikachu move forward (which is a HUGE help IMO) And still, people say he's underpowered.  He does have some ways to capitalize when he gets in close, though. FThrow combos easily into FTilt at low damage (that's a free 15% from a grab), and UTilt combos nicely. I guess his close-range game, which is all he really has, needs a buff. |

He was really ok with me. But yeah it was kind of difficult to get close to an opponenet. Hope the buffs help a lot especially with thunder.

I think the reason people think he's undrepowered is because, if I recall, his back air was changed.
It used to be a super-awesome-mega-combo spin attack, now its just an attack with the tail.
I think it could be simple; just take the down smash, take away the shocks, make it more appealing to be in the air, and that's pretty much it.

Generic, bair was pretty useless in Brawl. It could be easily punished and there were plenty of better options.
Imo, bair needs to be a quick kill move in Crusade; no matter what game he's in, he usually doesn't have many kill options.
By the way, I main Pika in Brawl.

I personnaly hate Pika in 64 and Brawl.
He was the best in Melee!

Pikachu was one of the 5 cheapest characters in Brawl.
IMO.
The others were Zelda, Kirby, Ike, and Meta Knight.

I liked having another kill move with Bair in SSB64, so I figured putting in Crusade would be good. |

But still, ALL of these guys were overpowered. Their attacks came out too fast and did way too much damage. You can't deny that. I also think Wolf is more broken than Meta Knight, but thats a different story. On Topic, I'm quite happy with Pikachu in Crusade. His moves can combo very well and his Thunder seems much less spammable for me. |
