Knuckles is BEAST! Knux has awesome edgeguarding moves and the Dspecial is awesome at mindgames (it confuses those who recover). Excellent KO power and an awesome air game and recovery. I main him after Link, Goku, Krystal and Mach Rider.

Knuckles d-special is lethal as a long-range move on anyone without a reflector. It's far too big to be dodge easily, and no one wants to take the hit, which is 24% damage. He's also got great recovery, air game and powerful tilts.
Also, no one's mentioned Knuckle Pawnch yet (standard special). To me, it feels like a shorter-ranged, more powerful version of the Donkey Pawnch.

That exactly what it is. It also is part of what makes Knuckles so GOOD at punishing mistakes.
Best recovery in the game.
I think we'll get along fine.

Recovery is a awesome part of Knux whit his Nspecial and areals.

His recovery has just one issue: it puts you in a glide. That's a bad thing when you're recovering, because either you cancel it, going helpless and being punished, or you use a glide attack, get perfect shielded and get punished.
I think Metaknight's recovery (5 jumps + drill rush) is much harder to edgeguard, and he can also recover from pretty much anywhere on the stage. He can also recover from directly UNDER a stage (such as Good Egg Galaxy), whereas Knuckles sometimes can't.

Just because Knux get in the glide state,don't mean he's helpless,he can attack if not cancelled.

Knuckles can glide without using his uspecial, letting him get out from under the stage to turn around and uspecial.
Gliding is really messed up in Crusade. There's no momentum system.
Also, perfect shielding won't be in the next demo, IIRC.

No perfect shielding, huh... In Brawl, I feared that they would take away perfect shielding, cause it was the only way for some characters to beat Metaknight. But he no longer has transcendent priority, so I guess that don't matter anymore.
Well, without an easy way to beat the glide attack, I guess knux and metaknight do have the best recovery in the game. Until new characters come. Like Pit and R.O.B. Maybe Rayquaza, if he's gonna be in the game (bit of wishful thinking, but the roster hasn't been confirmed yet)

I think Knux's glide attack will be really safe compared to now if there's no perfect shielding... However, the shield stun overall will be reduced as well.

Does Knuckles's glide attack hit at startup? It seems that I have to wait one second before the glide actually hits anything...
In fact, I think the same goes for his up special (maybe).

I think his glide attack just has long startup lag. But it's powerful and unpunishable if spaced well, just like Meta Knight's.
Why is he low on the tier list? I don't get it, he's a pretty incredible character.

I'm pretty sure you need tournaments or at least online play for tier lists. Also, you need to see every character. Maybe the tier list should be made when online mode is made.

Because the "tier list" is made by one person. And this one person actually mains him. Knux definitely has potential. His Spin Dash combos deal a great deal of damage (i did a combo where it reached 55% ending with the U-Special and Glide Attack). His rock Dspecial is very good for mindgames and it sets up his kill moves. |

Not many changes to Knux have been made for the new version, just some very minor adjustments, so you'll be able to do all the same stuff from 0.6.
