Ok, making a few changes; 1. making the other wario rep 9-Volt. 2. Deleting the whole Classic trio and making it Takamaru. 3. Replacing Tingle with Vaati. 4. Making it just R.O.B.

It makes no sense in Nintendo's case to have Geno. He does not make sense to have as a playable character. First off, he was in one game, which he was not the main star of, just a tag along. He is a third party character from a company that has better representatives that are mascots to Square Enix. Have you noticed that Square never used Geno, Nintendo did and only twice, with the most recurring one being a very minor role. What good of a representive is he if he is not even being used by the company that made him? And on top of all that, why will Nintendo waste their time asking Square for Geno and split money with that company to use him as a Mario representative when they have Toad and Bowser Jr (the 2 main Mario series characters that do mean something to the series) and not have to make deals with 3rd parties for something they already have.

Two words: Fan Demand.
Catering to the fans makes more money, and sometimes you have to spend a little money to make more of it.

Geno's only fan base is from SSB4 wishlist makers on the internet. There are tons of other characters that are on high demand from fans other than him. Ridley, K Rool, Bowser Jr, Goroh, Megaman, Mewtwo, Isaac, Saki, etc. If we can have at least 1 or more of these in the next game, Im sure there wont be a big fuss about Geno. Just like Skull Kid, Im sure he is just a temporarily trend

I have Ridley, K. Rool, Bowser Jr., Mewtwo, Isaac, and Saki.
As for Goroh, Black Shadow is the more likely choice due to being the "supervillain" to Captain Falcon's "superhero".
And Megaman? Megaman is practically dead. His creator left Capcom, Megaman Universe was cancelled, and Megaman was even excluded in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 while Zero and Tron Bonne were included. Ryu is the more likely Capcom choice. And easier to work with IMO.
So, if I have all of those....why can't I have Geno?

I doubt black shadow has a better chance than goroh since goroh had better reference in the smash games than him, has been more of arival to falcon than him, and using hos assist trophy model from brawl to the new game is easier than just coming up with a whole new one for black shadow.
As for megaman, there had been many major series that had canceled games. God knows how many canceled mario games are out there. And just cause the creator is no longer with capcom, dont mean the series will die. I mean epic yarn did fine without sakurai. Sure the creator made the game, but dont mean they own t. Apcom owns them. But I do agree that megaman may have been outshined by ryu rcently so who knows.
You are able to have the rest of the characters listed above cause they are ownd by nintendo and they are important character for the franchise they represent. While geno is a bad rep for both mario series and square enix

They didn't import models from Melee for Brawl, why would they use Brawl models for the next Smash? Black Shadow simply does more for the Smash series than Goroh. For one thing, he's a villain, while Goroh's not. Goroh's a sword user, which we honestly don't need too much more other than Takamaru. Goroh is a fat acrobatic, which we've already got. Black Shadow gives off the supervillain vibe to Captain Falcon's superhero vibe. But we've already talked about this.
Capcom essentially killed off Megaman with their latest decisions. The only thing we have left is Megaman Legends 3, and I cannot see Megaman Volnutt being included in Smash...
And at the same time, Laughing Dog is a poor choice, as he only served as an avatar that mocked you for failing. He's a poor Nintendo choice.
But still, once this roster gets graded by a certain YouTube user, I'm making some big changes in the future. Geno may be one of them. Planned changes: Geno is cut. Dr. Mario will take his spot in the Mario series (AGAIN) Skull Kid is added. (NO MAJORA) Orbulon is replaced by Mona. Tails is added. (The Sonic series needs a second character now, considering that there are THREE Mario and Sonic crossovers. As for why Tails, because he's the Luigi to Sonic's Mario. And because the old Melee hoax was Sonic AND Tails.)

Sure, nintendo never really borrowed models from previous games, but they could if they want to speed up with development. But also, how do you explain melee stages in brawl and 64 stages in melee. They borrowed stage models, so it is possible to do the same with charcters. Both black shadow and goroh equally would be good choices, neither one over the other. And technically goroh is a villain as he is the rival antagonist to falcon. Goroh and falcons rivalry is more deeper and relevent than black shadow. Goroh and falcon have some personal grudge while black shadow was just a top enemy that falcOn had to go tbrough to get the prize money or to save whatever he had to save. Either two would be good choices though to plau yhe atagonist role for falcon, but I can ser goroh getting in more likely with his personal grudge with falcon, appearances in two out of three smsh games, and easier moveset to come up with. As for his fighting style, he has more than a katana to work with. He has a gun, acrobatic speed, brute strength, and a possible special ability that they can throw in to reference his vehicle, like they did with some of falcons special attacks.
Honestly, I dont see takamaru having a high chance of being playable until they run out of classic characters to add.
I agree with you on whay capcom has done with megaman, but if thay series ever dies we know that he left his impact on the gaming world that wont be forgotten. I think this just might be just a temporarely downfall. The series is too good and has been running too long to die out. But I do believe that ryu has taken over as the face of capcom. In the end megaman is still a good rep for capcom.
As for the duck hunt dog (i know you perfer laughing dog ;D), though he may not had the best role, but he is still a gaming icon, one of nintendos early mascots, and has more notoriety than most if not all the the retro characters in and out of smash bros. Also reps nintendo most famous shooting game. He is a good retro choice.
Now my thoughts on your roste change
I agree with removing geno.
If we were to get toad and bowser jr (two of the best choices), I would doubt we would get a third newcomer, especially when the spin offs rep the mario series in a very small way.
I dont see the point of adding skull kid with out majora since the mask and the antagonist role is what got him his fame in the first place. Also, I think skullkid fame has died out a bit since midna debuted and tingle began to have his spin off series. His chances seem to fade away some more as the zelda series continues to grow
I perfer c.syrup, but mona is a good choice also since she reps the wario series games that help separate wario further from his origins in the mario series. Cant complain about this choice, better than that strange alien people barely know about that you previously had.
As for tails, I was thinking the same thing when I heard that there will be a third olympic game. I can see tails playable and I agree that he is the next best sonic rep. But do you think if this is done, that they might give konami a second rep as well?

@smashking: Rival Antagonist=/=Villain. Goroh is in the same category as Meta Knight or King Dedede. All are Rivals, and all are Antagonists at times, but they are not Villains. And you don't understand how development works if you think borrowing models will help speed up development time. This isn't the olden days where they reuse sprites (MVC and MVC2), models for Smash should NEVER be reused. Used as reference points, yes, but not blatantly reused. (Especiall the lo-res AT models) And how many times do I have to tell you, they DID NOT use the Blue Falcon as a reference to Falcon's specials! They took someone's moveset from the prototype of Smash (Dragon King: The Fighting Game) and put it on him, but made it more "Falcon-based" for the super punch. No matter how many times you keep saying otherwise, it's not going to magically become true. Now stop being persistant on this, unlike Geno, Black Shadow's going nowhere. Unlike other classic characters, Takamaru has: 1. Sakurai's support. 2. A guest appearance in a recent game. 3. An easy to work with moveset, unlike one that can be made for Balloon Fighter or Laughing Dog. 4. A song used for Brawl that's separated from the Famicon Medley on the Mario Bros. stage. (The way I see it, Bubbles, Balloon Fighter, and Donbe & Hikari are dead because their music is used to boost the Ice Climber stage's (Summit) music.) 5. Ninja weapons, which Smash is severly lacking. The thing with Skull Kid, is that like Link, Zelda, Ganon, and Tingle, he is a recurring character. He may have had his important role in Majora's Mask, but he was "under the influence" so to speak. Majora was the enemy, not Skull Kid. Skull Kid's recent appearance was Twilight Princess, and more than likely, Skyward Sword too. Honestly, I doubt Konami will get a second rep. Snake got in due to pestering by Kojima, while Sonic got in because he was highly requested by the fans. Also, the only thing Metal Gear and a Nintendo series has done together was Brawl itself, while Sonic has the Olympics with Mario. This is unless the StarFox/Metal Gear crossover that Brawl hinted at will actually come true. jaklub: No one will EVER forget the hoax..... Also, I'm also adding Captain Rainbow.

Not only am I adding Captain Rainbow, but I'm adding Shulk from Xenoblade as well. Nintendo's newest 1st Party company (Monolith Soft) needs some love too.

@golden What does =/= means? Just curious cause I never really seen it being used till recently.
As for the next FZero rep. We can go back and forth despite that we had this discussion before, but the real fact in the end is that both goroh and black shadow would make good additions to be the anti-hero for c.falcon. Some perfer this or the other. Also, if we were to get only one of them in the next game, we should all understand that the one that doesnt get in was not included for the thought of being a bad choice. I think either one is a win and its more likely be a personal choice by dev on who get to be playable. Neither goroh or black shadow going nowhere.
Im not saying that using old models will make dev. Go by entirely fast, im saying that editing a model from a prequel into a new game seems easier to do than making something completely different from scratch. This is just my opinion
As for Takamaru. We cant say takamaru is the only one with sakurai support. We still dont really know much about his thoughts on other classic characters except Sukapon (which is one character he does not support). Also, we cant really rely on sakurai support to believe that a character has a high chance to be playable. Remember, he was asked if he would like to direct brawl, they couldve gone with anyone. So how can we be sure that he will be a part of ssb4? He didnt even play any role in the development of kirby epic yarn, a series (kirby) he is originally famous for creating.
As for his guest appearnce, that is his one advantage right now, but then that can change if we start seeing a few other classic characters making guest appearances, or even bigger, having their series resurrected before ssb4 like kid icarus and punch out
Takamaru has a easy to work with moveset, yet goroh doesnt?? Doesnt make sense to me. As for b. Fighter and dhd, though some of their moves are made up, just like many characters on the current roster, at least their movesets have reference and origins. Not saying takamaru falls in the opposite category.
We can say that his song is being used separately from others, but it is still being used to support a stage that doesnt relate to him. So how is that really a supportive reason for his chances of being playable.
We can bring up ninja weapons, but tecnically nunchucks and throwing stars are really no different from other weapons used by other characters. For example, throwing stars are no different than sheiks needle storm as well as any other weapons he can use. So where is the uniqueness here?
Also, takamaru has not done anything influential or significant for nintendo. He is nintendos first katana user, but that itself is nothing special since a katana is only one of many different types of blade wielding weapons. Plus if sakurai does get involved in ssb4, he did state that other than fire emblem, he was not planning on adding japan only series.
For skull kid, I think that your statement of him being recurring to the series is a good thing to point out, but 2/3 of his appearances were minor roles that had no impact in the series other than majoras mask.
Now for konami 2nd rep I kind of doubt it in a way myself. And agree also, even thougj I would to see a 2nd metal gear rep if sonic gets one also. And yea I never heard nothing about this crossover with star fox/metal gear. Where this come from?
Sorry guys if I havent been active lately, been working full time at my job and studying for my finals in this end of my semester which ends in 2 weeks

I've stated why Takamaru has a moveset. He uses shiruken, fireballs, lightning based explosions, and ivisibility cloaks. All used IN-GAME.

@golden
Not saying you never posted the moveset of Takamaru, but I dont recall hearing anything about his abilities other than his katana, unless I missed it cause I would not ignore it if I had seen it.
But yea are those other moves based on his original game or Samurai Warriors?

Original game. Samurai Warriors lacked those weapons and stuck with the sword.

Well, at least we both know he has fighting potential. But I dont think he is the best representative of a classic NES character when there are still plenty more well-known characters or series that made an impact for Nintendo. I would like to see Takamaru and I think he would be a great fighter in Smash, but he would not be my first choice of a NES representative. His series has done so little for the company and was only famous in Japan. Excluding Fire Emblem, I dont think Smash Bros is gone push for a Japan only character at this point.

Why wouldn't they add a Japan only character? There's a bunch of reasons. Japan would get some characters they like. It could bring some games to the US. Captain Rainbow, a Japan only character, had a game that basically had a bunch of other Nintendo characters like Birdo, Little Mac, and even Takamaru.
