Hopefully she could become revived like Pit did. EDIT: Wait....Mischief Makers was only published by Nintendo in AMERICA. In Japan it was published by Enix, which is now Square-Enix. Damn....

Yea, its possible that reviving her can bring up more popularity than she has ever had like it did for many Smash characters, but you have to remember that Pit was included into Brawl by popular demand, which Marina really doesn't have.
Well, now that we know what company she is under, we now know she is not the best Square Enix rep.

Ah well. I guess I'll revive Chibi-Robo to be used for the 60th character.
EDIT: Good thing, too. On Nintendo Wiki, on the template: Major Nintendo characters, the following aren't playable in Smash (yet)
Andross Bowser Jr. Chibi-Robo King K. Rool Mii Ridley Toad
Now, all but two are in my roster; Andross and Mii. Andross will NEVER be playable due to being a giant head, and Miis will probably not be Smash due to the customizations. Although, for the sake of it, I may make Miis in my roster.

Chibi-Robo is a good choice of a misc. character. He had 3 positive games on Nintendo plus a remake of the original title on the wii. Played and beat the game myself and its a good game.
Plus he has a couple of moves to work with as well. Chibi-Copter, Chibi-Blaster, Water Gun, Garbage Disposal, Tea Cup, using his Plug for attacks, etc.
And I even came up with the idea for him. Now this will only be for special effects and nothing more but I was thinking that after receiving a number of damage, he will begin to flash red as if his battery is running low. Just to fit more to his characteristics.

And at the same time, Little Mac can look beat up the more damage he takes. Speaking of the devil, I made the new vid/reupload. I swear that this is the last time I edit the same video....

That would be good to see also. Picture Little Mac with a band aid, bumps, and a black eye.
I dont think the Mii's would be a good idea to add into the game. Many have pitched ideas of being able to create your Mii's moveset, but imagine how much data that would take up in the game and how long it will take to develop. Also, I think by the time the new Smash Bros comes out, the Mii's will be outdated, especially with the rumors of the new Nintendo console not being a Wii successor, but rather something completely different.

The 3DS has Miis. I doubt they're going away that quickly.

True, but that is the 3DS though. If the new console does not have the Mii's then what would be the point of adding them if they dont exist in the new console?
By the way, your roster seems to be shaping up better, but I think with you already having Toad and Bowser Jr, I dont think Dr Mario is really necessary, especially since you have the Mario spin offs on the side.

Mach Rider never appeared on the Wii. He's not too outdated for Crusade.
Mr. Gameandwatch doesn't exist on the Wii. He's apparently not too outdated.

Mach rider and mr. gaw are in to rep the retro era.
If mii is not part of the new console, then how will you customize them? Plus all the ideas of customizing them from the game will waste time in development and take up alot of space from the game regardless how much data it can store. I would rather have all that data saved for someone or something else

I was planning on putting that in a future video... my idea for that is that you play as a Mii, but during character creation you can select any move from any character in the game, or if not that, any character from the original 12. You basically make one of their moves that move, and if it has color, like with Falcon Punch, it'll be the color of your Mii. You could do any mix-match up, and the weight and speed are determined on size of the character when creating the Mii. You could have up to 3 characters. And for things like a gun for Fox and a sword for Link, they use the wii remote.

My version is a little less complicated. On my roster, Miis have a preset moveset, just the color and the head is customizable. A full customizeable character would take a crapload of data.

Character creation will just kill the concept of the game itself

What would kill the game concept is basing it on only one franchise. Anyway, it's hard to say what would really kill it. There are people who think third parties are ruining the game, as it was originally Nintendo crossover.
If Miis really have to appear, I think they should have A attacks and speed based on their size and weight. The larger your Mii is, the more powerful and slow it is.

That IS a better idea, Jaklub.... The moves are the same, but the strength and speed are determined by size of the Mii (in the Mii Plaza. All Miis are the same size in SSB4.)

For a console avatar, that would just be alot to add in for that type of character. Not only will the game have to use it's data to keep up with what colors, clothes, facial expressions, etc the Mii has, but his size also to determine how strong they will appear? As a fan it sounds interesting to be honest, but I dont see the Mii as a playable character or even a good choice as well.

Who would see G&W as a good rep? Or R.O.B.?

Those 2 are good reps.
ROB was not just a accessory, but saved the entire gaming history and we would not be having these type of discussions or even be playing video games to this day if it wasnt for ROB.
And Mr. GAW was the mascot of the Game & Watch series, the originator of the handheld genre. Game & Watch was the first popular handheld of many to come after. And it later influenced the Gameboys, DS's, nanos, Giga-pets, etc. And it influenced the Furby toys and many other toys as well.
Now as far as data on these characters in Smash. Even though both japanese ROB and american ROB were a slight different color, that didnt require barely any data to have both colors put in to one character. And Mr. GAW is the easiest character to make and program in the game since he is 2D and has less animations than any other character. So them taking up a big amount of data is never an issue.

You realize that they had to do extra work to make G&W.
You can't just slap sprites in a 3d game.

And what extra work could have possibly be done to make Mr. Game & Watch playable if he actually takes up far less data than any character?
