I say Secret Boss Character: Dark Sonic. Yes? lol This is not official. Though not official, I think this character can fit in as a boss in the story mode when you play as Sonic. He encounters him at some point in the story mode and battles him. Just my opinion. (side-note) wish i knew how to make sprites. |

Once again, I say no.
Why? Because "Dark Sonic" is a ONE-TIME occurance in Sonic X, and a SHORT one at that! All the "powers" he has been said to have are all ideas from rabid fanboys that think that he's the best thing since sliced bread!
He hasn't shown any sort of abilitites that differenciate himself from Super Sonic, in fact he has shown much LESS! He's only a stronger, pissed off Sonic!
*Ranting over* I swear, if this idea is brought up again....I mean, what's next? Toad Warrior from Super Mario Bros. Super Show?

Oni Shadow = "original" character = Bad idea.
Metal Sonic = Existing important character = Good idea.

No comment... But Metal Sonic would be cool. I've always wanted to have him in Smash. He would just make a good opponent for Sonic.

Im not trying to confirm nothing or saying it as a fact, but I believe its possible that Dark Sonic could have been the influence for Shadow to exist. And since Shadow has been a recurring character to the Sonic series, he is the more obvious choice if your picking between him and Dark Sonic.
In my opinion, other than the characters already added in Crusade, I think Dr. Eggman is a better choice overall. Dark Sonic is just not relavent at all, Shadow is a good choice, but half his moves will obviously be similar to Sonic, so why not go with Dr. Eggman? He is the main antagonist to the Sonic series, way more recurring than Shadow and many other main Sonic characters (other than Sonic himself), and his mechanics would be interesting to see, so we are guarentee he will be unique and have his own style

Shadow is COMPLETELY different from Dark Sonic. I think he came first.
