So... Will the application forms be sent to us when Werekill finishes them?

I think it would make more sense if it had a sub-board, where the application template is posted, and users can start a thread and post the application in it if they want in

Yeah, like on smashboards. When the application start, the BR members post a topic with the template. Then we have to fill it up and send them to the BR

Werekill said he was going to sticky a topic with the application here, then accept them through PMs.

My only problem there, how will the BR members ask questions of the applicant?

K, that's seriously enough, Felipe. You're gonna be infracted in a minute, I can sense it.
I think the devs would review the application, not the users.

I'm guessing I count as one of those people that don't need a thingy. >_>... Right? Yeah. I set mods as able to see it so that it would make some things easier. i think the backroom should be done when the games is finished. FOr example, the metagame will be totally change to 1.0, because Crusade Cancel was removed (CC was the main advanced technique of 0.6). But 1.0 will bring new thing so, there will be nos table tierlist/metagame/matchups because evrthing changes. Tier lists exist for street fighter, Blazblue, and mvc3, which are all patched with a ton of changes every so often, so your point is invalid. 1. I think that pretty much everyone considers Crusade to be competitive. 2. It was COMPLETELY BROKEN. You could perform a completely safe rest. Once online play is implemented, this game's competitive scene should shoot through the roof. K, that's seriously enough, Felipe. You're gonna be infracted in a minute, I can sense it. I think the devs would review the application, not the users. I would personally review the application, then post in the br so that everyone else can comment on it. It would take more than just me to get in, so don't worry about that. Anyway, Felipe. Just stop. I mean really, derailing a topic isn't quite that fun, and it can get pretty annoying. Same goes for terrible trolling too. Generic, stop feeding the (failed) troll. Your overreactions with the bolded text and such are exactly what feeds them.

My point is totally valid

In Blazblue, the next patch completely changes the mechanics of instant blocking, and a new character is available for DLC. A ton of moves are also faster and others are changed, so everyone has to learn new combos. So yes, your point isn't valid.

DLC =/= New Characters, you can choose of not to download it. Balancing the characters =/= Changing Game Mechanics, it means a change on Metagame, who is not the same thing.
And yeah, my point is still valid.

And yeah, my point is still valid. DLC characters are allowed in tournaments, so it isn't like you should ignore the matchup completely. Balancing characters IS changing game mechanics, but I'm not getting into that. Besides, you completely missed my point about changing the mechanics of blocking, so I don't see a point about arguing this.

Melee 1.2 changed character hitboxes, for example, Marth Dair now is meteor, Sheik uair was nerfed (he can combo better now) and Some link AT were removed. That changes didnt changed the game mechancis, they jsut changed the Metagame of the characters, In Pal (1.2) sheik is top Tier but no game mechanics were changed when they chaned some of their attacks. Oh, i and i didnt found anything about a blasblue patch, i only found a thing about a patch released 21 of january. I cant argue abput a topic who i doesnt have opinion And arguing with arguments is not trolling EDIT: LOL for that infraction. What coincidence i got it after we started arguin`g [/sarcasm]

I think it was the fact you keep getting people on the topic of tiers, which goes off topic which is Spam by the rules standards. And tiers seem to be all you care about. No offense bub. But thats what you make it appear as... PLUS, You keep calling people out on being trolls when they're just having friendly debates, just as you claim to be having also. Anyway...
The backroom would in fact obviously not be open to people who are like "Durphurp how much does foxes ^B do?!?!?!" We're not that slow in the head.

Werekill has to finish that application first. Unless he has it done but just hasn't posted it yet. In which case he should do so.

Yeah, I mean he has to finish the application so I can see it and post there. Maybe I'll start up a testing thread or something and post interesting tidbits and previews there. With your permission of course

What about any additional questions for the applicant? IMO, match up questions are the most important. They test all of the most important qualities: competitive knowledge, ability to communicate clearly, use of detail, etc. It's all there with match ups. What I'm asking here is, how will we go about this? Questions need to be asked of the applicant, and all BR members need to be able to see the answer, and know when questions are asked so as not to repeat questions. Your idea of posting the app in the BR would work, except that the applicant couldn't be asked questions because they wouldn't be able to see the thread. In SFBR, we have two threads, one public, where the questions are asked and the application is placed, and one BR only thread to talk about the applicant
I don't think just the application is enough.....the application is just testing the waters. Q&A is where we really find out their potential
