EDIT: Look at all of the Konami games Simon has been in that include many Konami characters. Lot more than Dracula. Simon's been in about 8 games total. How many has Dracula been in? More than 20, likely.

And there's Konami Krazy Racers which has Dracula and no Simon IIRC.

Non-Castlevania? Who gives a EFF.
By Castlevania titles (the ones that really COUNT, mind you), Dracula has been in every title IIRC.

But Simon is an overall better choice.

Personal opinion.
I find Simon to be a great choice as well, but Dracula is far more important to the series.
However, I'm not arguing that Dracula needs to be in before Simon. I'm arguing that Dracula is far more important. I personally don't give a crap whether Simon or Dracula are in, if at least ONE gets in.
So this one, let's just stop. I know you love to try to make me seem like I'm unknowledgeable, but I'm stopping this one right here.

Seeing how there have been different protagonist throughout the series, it is not going to be easy to pick out which protagonist will represent Castlevania. I say this because we have people here who started playing Castlevania when Simon was the hero, and you have those who started playing when there was another one.

I started with Alucard, which is why I voted for him.

But the single character that every Castlevania player could relate to and recognise would be Dracula. I think that was the point Golden was making. So in a way, Dracula would be everyone's second choice, and no one would be unhappy.
