Haven't read through the nice 32 pages goin on here, so maybe it's already been discussed before (almost definitely for the first one), but I think a Final Fantasy rep is needed (my choice goes to Tifa, Tifa vs. Ryu would be just too epic), or we could have a magic caster, since FF has a great magic system, and it would add variety to the roster. Second, Dante is pretty badass. Third choice, Amaterasu. And last but not least, Alex Mercer (Prototype)

Coincidentally, when DMX found out about Black Mage in SSF2, he was like"But we just added Black Mage to our roster..." or something.

Kratos would be pretty badass as well, but it would be hard not to make him overpowered with that range......

that paper mario sheet is quite beautiful. I can't believe I've never seen it before but I'm an instant fan. I know right? ;D It's quite amazing. No.
Haggar is a big Capcom icon (arguably one that put Capcom on the map), as well as has a meme following him, AND is unique in that he uses grappling techniques, which not many people in Smash do. (Ristar is the only one that I know of)
Being in the latest in Capcom's biggest crossover while Megaman isn't also says something.

That's a good point. In my opinion, he isn't really made for Smash though.. Although we DO need more heavyweights, eh? Somehow I'm tempted to say I'd rather have Guy.

Guy would be bad@$$, but Haggar is more or less the star of Final Fight. The story revolves around him. Also (info may be outdated):  Mike Haggar (Final Fight) Representation: 3-He is from Final Fight, which currently isn't represented in Crusade, but he IS a Capcom character. We already have Ryu, Megaman, and Frank West, and there is rumors going around about Chun-Li and Morrigan. Popularity: 5-It's Mike MOTHER****ING Haggar! (I'm not being rude about this, this is how I've seen him being referenced to in the past) He's the "Mayor of the Universe", and is starting to be a meme not unlike Chuck Norris. He is very iconic, and one of the most unforgettable characters in gaming. Moveset Potential: 3-He's a grappler, so he's limited in moves by that point, but he also uses a steel pipe as a weapon, and has similar moves to Zangief of Street Fighter. Uniqueness: 3-Being a grappler, he is unique, as Smash doesn't have a grappler yet. Even so, there really is not much else that makes him unique compared to other Smashers. Overall Score: 14. |
