^ That. Again. Is it really killing anyone because 2 people have more than 1 final smash?

Kirby Reps should be the only ones to have 2 Final Smashes, because it does represent that they have different special attacks. cwutididthar? And really. It makes no sense for a 3rd party series; at that, a 3rd party series with a secondary rep to have 2 final smashes each. ESPECIALLY for an alt. The only character I can see having more then one Final Smash other then Street Fighter reps IS Kirby with Three Crash Cook Mike

Because I think you're just being stubborn about it. Whats the big deal if a 3RD party rep gets more than 1 Final Smash? That's how it was in their games. Does Mario have anything similar to a "Finishing move"? No. Unless you count Star Power. Oooh. Another "Just ram your opponent" FS. They get more than 1 because their game has them ALREADY there. And it's very similar to how it works in Crusade. Bar fills up, you use a move. At least you cant choose from the 4/2 in battle. That's the only way they'd be stupid OP. =_=

By that logic, Mega Man should've got a 2nd Final Smash as well due to being MvC based and he had more than one Hyper Combo in MvC.

. Does Mario have anything similar to a "Finishing move"? No. Unless you count Star Power. Oooh. Another "Just ram your opponent" FS. And Giga Mushroom. Oh, and some of the weapons they use in their RPGs. I actually think they had Mario's final smash in brawl from this. You could easily have him bounce on a character and stay on him by pressing A a ton once you get the final smash, which would send you to an enemy. You'd stop once you stopped performing correctly, or the time limit comes. Does great damage, no knockback though. Hey, what about the pocket chomp? He'd follow Mario and he'd have to jump around and avoid the chomp, doing great damage to the enemies around him, but it stops if you get hit by the chomp. Or maybe the Mix Flower? Throw a bunch of fireballs in the air by rapidly pressing B, making a giant sun come down, the more fireballs you've thrown making a bigger fireball. See? There's more you could do. Oh. And if you've never played street fighter. A person could easily go "Eh? Why the heck would they have multiple final smashes when they're just a third party? Ridiculous."

Or, they could go, "Wait, these guys have more than one Final Smash option? Awesome!"
Seriously, guys. Arguing about the amount of Final Smashes everyone has is ridiculous. I know its ridiculous because this wouldn't even been brought up if it wasn't for DMX.
Ryu and Chun-Li having more than one final Smash is reminescent of the Street Fighter games. I think that thats pretty awesome. Im sure some of you guys thought it was cool, too.
I'm almost positive that you didn't care about the Final Smashes before this topic, DGN. If nothing was to change, Im sure that it would go back to nobody caring about the Final Smashes.

If they get it, so should everyone. It isn't fair, especially for 3rd parties.

@giga: Nope. I hated the fact that he had more than 1. I felt it was unfair. I never mentioned it because I thought it'd be a pointless dream to bring up, and would yield no results.

If they get it, so should everyone. It isn't fair, especially for 3rd parties. Think of multiple final smashes as a Gimmick. So using that sense, maybe everyone should have an alternate form like Zelda and Sheik, maybe everyone should be able to Copy people's abilities like Kirby. Regardless of what you can say. I take the Multiple Final Smashes a unique gimmick the Street Fighter reps should keep. But.. then again, nobody ever cares to read my posts. So yeah, kindly just ignore me. Because I'm certain you will.

But you can't change the Final Smash during the match so it's not really a gimmick. At least with Goku, you use one Final Smash when you're in Kaio-Ken mode.

Then it's homage to street fighter, you pick which Hyper combo your going to use anyways right? Unless ANY OTHER GAME does that. Then Street Fighter reps should keep the double final smashes

Then if Street Fighter gets that, so should every. When Mario or Luigi is used, Power-Up blocks will appear on the stage at random times to give them broken moves. When Link or Young Link is used, you can equip any item, even freaking light arrows.
Have you ever thought that someone on the dev team is a little (or maybe a lot) biased for Street Fighter?

Because you aren't understanding where I'm getting at. In the game "STREET FIGHTER" when on the character select screen, you do the following. 1. Pick your Character 2. Pick what color this Character will be 3. Pick your HYPER COMBO out of Two choices. The fact that STREET FIGHTER Characters have two final smashes, play homage to the actual game. Nobody other then Street Fighter character should have multiple final smashes, not even Mario. Maybe Kirby though...

What AEM said. And: Have you ever thought that someone on the dev team is a little (or maybe a lot) biased for Street Fighter? Yes. I know for a fact that it's Falcon. And you guys barely give him any push-and-pull over the roster anyways, so just leave the FS issue be and let him have some fun with it.

Then let's have fun with everything. I want Mach Rider to be extremely broken and Ristar should have any Final Smash I can come up with. :\
How about this: Knuckles should be able to climb up walls because he did that in game. Why can't Samus switch to the gravity suit so she can't leave the platform? She did that in game.
If you're not following me, I'm saying that we have to adapt characters to be fair and equal.

Why can't Samus switch to the gravity suit so she can't leave the platform? She did that in game. If you're not following me, I'm saying that we have to adapt characters to be fair and equal. I said some fun, not as much as you want. >_> If Knuckles could climb up walls, then any stage with drop-off ledges (Saffron City, Fourside) would make him near impossible to gimp because he can just glide to the wall and start climbing. If Samus could switch to her gravity suit, then she'd be immune from knockback, which would make her infinitely broken. And having two different final smashes to choose from doesn't make a character unequal. The FSs themselves aren't unbalanced. The characters themselves ARE pretty fair and equal. Taking away Ryu and Chun-Li's extra final smashes takes away one of the few gimmicks they have; one of the few things that makes them unique. A lot of characters can punch and kick and throw fireballs, but no other character has different final smashes that you can select to use against different characters. Taking this away takes away what ultimately makes them unique.
