CRASH BANDICOOT
YOU KNOW YOU LOVE HIM
DONT DENY IT
OH COME ON
Representation - Crash represents his series, duh. Uh, first game was received well, with ratings ranging from 7/10 to 9/10 (Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot_(video_game)#Reception). Second game was also well received, sometimes even better than the first game. On average it received about an 8/10 (Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot_(video_game)#Reception). Third game also had great reviews... know what you can look for yourself: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot_3:_Warped#Reception. The Wrath of Cortex was received with mixed reviews, some liking it others not as much. Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot:_The_Wrath_of_Cortex#Reception. Twinsanity was also met with mixed reviews...: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crash_Twinsanity#Reception. This isn't including the spin-off games and the newer games, if you're curious you can wikipedia it yourself (seriously, it takes like, 5 seconds to do it).
Uniqueness: Crash is a human-like marsupial, who utilizes his famed spin attack to attack his foes. He is also helped by the sprit of a witch doctor sealed in a mask, and he fights the evil doctor cortex. Crash also uses a bazooka. And jet packs. And he has a cooler racing game than Mario Kart.
Popularity: He has a big fanbase. Kinda like Mario and Sonic, except that Crash isn't getting treated as nicely as the other before-mentioned.
Viability: cyberwolf made a sprite sheet of Crash and said we could use it. It'd require edits, but it isn't too bad, y'know? Crash would fit in well. I mean, you have other human like animals such as Sonic and Fox, so...
NEWCOMER: MOVESET [wip]
Neutral Special - Spin Attack
Crash spins wildly. Deals multiple hits of damage to opponents. While Crash is spinning, if a direction is pressed (left or right) Crash will spin in that direction. The special button can be pressed repeatedly to make the attack last a little longer. If used in-air, it’ll slow Crash’s fall briefly; can also be used in-air for horizontal recovery.
Origin: Crash’s signature move. ‘nuff said.
Side Special - Polar Ride
Crash hops onto Polar the polar bear and rushes forwards. Can be turned around and can rush around the other way. After a few seconds, Polar will buck Crash off (Crash can also jump off beforehand). Polar then wanders around the stage, and can be attacked or if he so desires he can attack opponents. Polar will eventually find his way off stage or he can also be knocked off. After this happens Crash can use this move again (he can also use it again if the side special button is used right next to Polar).
Origin: Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bash (Polar Panic levels, specifically)
Up Special - Pogo Stick
Crash pulls out his pogo stick and jumps upwards for decent vertical recovery. If used right above an opponent it works like a meteor smash.
Origin: Crash Bash (Pogo painter levels, specifically)
Down Special - Wumpa Bazooka
Crash pulls out his Wumpa Bazooka. He can aim it up, down, and straight forwards. Pressing the special button will have Crash fire a wumpa fruit projectile. Pressing the down special button again will have Crash put the bazooka away. The wumpa fruit deal low damage and knockback, though travel rather quickly.
Origin: Crash Bandicoot WARPED!
Final Smash - Triple Aku Aku
Crash obtains a golden Aku Aku mask on his face, thus making him invunerable and increasing his speed slightly. All he has to do is ram into opponent to damage them, though he can also perform all his other moves as well (with all of them getting a slight power boost). Lasts for about as long as Wario Man.
