I'll probably start when we have five people, so we need one more. People will still be able to join after we start, but they'll start in the same place, so they'll be behind.

I don't really count as a player, but I'll start anyways, since it doesn't look like many more people are joining...
...SO, THE STORY BEGINS:
Arata Ken, you are in a town called Randoka, on the northwestern coast of Ranterra.
El Maiz, you are in a town called Srakdom, on the southern-most tip of Ranterra.
Electro Adam, you are in a town called Wattedom, on the east coast of Ranterra.
Red, you are in a city called Ranterra City, on the western coast of Ranterra.
You all hear a HUGE explosion and immediately turn towards the City of Random, located at the center of Ranterra. A chill is sent down your spines as you ponder what could've just happened.

He just stands there. Looking... bored. What do you do?

You're not sure. He's just standing. His blank stare is beginning to bore you.
(And btw, npc just means non-player character, so enemies and shopkeepers are both types of npcs. Basically, if it's not Arata Ken, El Maiz, you, red, or me, it's an npc).

Arata Ken awakes from his long and dreamless slumber upon hearing a big explosion. "Where is that noise coming from?", said Arata Ken with alert. Arata Ken hurriedly leaps off from his bed and quickly takes his brown leather hat and his grappling hook. He decides not to put any shoes on since they will just slow him down. He dashes out of his cottage barefooted and heads toward the direction of where the site of the explosion takes place . He runs at the speed of light as cool, brushing breezes smack his face. Suddenly, he sees smoke in the distance. The smoke is arising from the Evergreen Forest. Arata Ken knows there is something wrong. "This can't be good", said Arata Ken with a concern look. Arata Ken switches his direction and heads toward the forest, in hopes of finding out what caused the deadly black smoke.

Arata Ken, you notice shadows moving abnormally around you, as if they are following you. As you approach the forest, more shadows begin to surround you. Soon, you are entirely surrounded by darkness. What do you do?

"There's hardly any light in this forest. What is this thick, shroud of darkness?" yelled Arata Ken. "This is a trap!" Arata Ken realizes this too late. He keeps running even though everything in his sight is blinded by the illusion of darkness. As he keeps running, he tries to figure out a plan to get out of this treachery. "There must be a tree around here!" panicked Arata Ken. Everywhere he turns, pure darkness is seen. He keeps running and running until a speck of light can be seen in a faraway distance. He stops shortly and observes the light. The speck of light is dim, but it must be his ticket to escape. "Looks like this silliness will come to an end. The light shall guide me!" said Arata Ken with courage as he crosses the pathway between dark and light...

Alright, Electro Adam, your roll is... 48. The shady man sidesteps and continues his blank stare.
Arata Ken, you emerge in blinding light to find a pond in an opening of the middle of the forest. The shadows have stopped at the edge of the clearing, but they seem tempted to follow you.
