I dont use Advanced Techniques. They irritate me. They're easy to do, I just dont like them. Only AT's I use are ledge ones, because they're not as serious as the others.

Don't worry, no L-Canceling in SSBC. There is some auto-canceling, but it's AUTO-canceling, so not really an AT. Samus is my main in SSBM. I kinda want to take on Detta's Pichu with my Samus. ;D

Sucks that there isn't Wifi with Melee. I actually had no trouble beating level 9 Samus as Pichu. She's really easy to juggle because her D-Air comes out slowly in comparison to how fast I can get up and hit her with an u-air again.
This has annoyed me for a while. I have only KOed a person TWICE with Pichu's crappy rendition of Thunder, and they were at around 130% damage and practically at the vertical blast line when I hit them. I really hate how crappy Thunder is. If it had just a BIT more KO potential I'd be able to finish off a juggle with one. But no, I have to n-air, d-air or b-air to finish the juggle, go to the ground, and hope to get an u-smash in while you're not looking.

IIRC, Melee was supposed to use the LAN that the GC had. Though I dont think they could get it to work right. Though don't take my word on it. I have no idea where I even heard that from.

I play a very defensive Samus though. Pichu's Thunder is not nearly as good as Pikachu's, I'll give you that. <sigh> If only Pichu were in SSBC.

DLC all the way. I might even make a suggestion thread and find sprites. Heck, with some VERY heavy editing these might work. I mentioned Samus's D-Air since the CPUs always try to break out of a juggle with one. It is Samus's most threatening aerial move, in my experience, especially against the juggler.

Those are how Pichu USED to look. (before R/S) Get some that fits it's appearance NOW, please.

Oh, here's some from a game I've never heard of that was on the GBA an E-Card thing: This is workable. Needs insane edits, but it's workable. Perhaps as a base. @felipe: This is why you should always have a backup controller ;D EDIT: Maybe Mystery Dungeon could prove to be useful:

I'd support Pichu if it were altered slightly to be the spiky eared Pichu from HG/SS (cause that one is so kewl... and it is female, lol), and it got slightly de-cloned. Also, the Mystery Dungeon sprites are too small IMO. 'Nother sheet. Hurr: But this is slightly off-topic from a melee discussion. OR IS IT? I MEAN, PICHU WAS IN MELEE N SHTUFF

Hm. Maybe I'll make a Pichu thread in the suggestion board. He'd be fun as DLC or as a Pikachu alternate form. I could easily peruse through Serebii and give it a de-cloned moveset.

I'm not getting into a "You're only a good Melee Player if you use AT's" Argument. It's a flipping opinion.

Sumika, try to go on a melee torunament without knowing wavedash, cancel or teching and lest see how you place.

Coming in here for a second... Wavedashing wasn't an "AT" as you call it. It was a glitch, for 3 reasons: 1. The CPU couldn't do it. 2. It wasn't in the instruction manual. 3. IIRC, it wasn't in 64, which had the same type of air dodging.

"Contrary to the common belief that it is a glitch, Wavedash is actually a physics exploit because while sliding from an airdodge is an intended part of the physics engine, the uses found for it weren't intended."
Felipe is right in that it's not a glitch.
It's an EXPLOIT. It WAS NOT intended.

LOLOLOOOOOOOOOL www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=1624162- 1- Cpu is dumb, he cant even do L Cancel 2- Cause Sakurai didnt knowed how useful he was 3- You noob Smash 64 doesnt have air dodging LOL !!!!!!!! EDIT: Golden, lol, you jsut sayd it, it was intended, is an exploit but it was intended so

DGN: 64 didn't HAVE airdodging. Also, it's not a glitch, like Golden said. EDIT: Felipeja'd. @felipe: Silence, you. Don't ridicule people for not knowing about the oldest smash game. A lot of people haven't played it in the first place. Also, the exploit wasn't intended, the way it worked was.

Sorry but i lvoe arguing to people who knows about something but i CANT stand against people who believe himself a "wise" without knowing antyhing about the thing is talking about. Sorry but i jsut dont tolerate that kind of people.

the uses found for it weren't intended. My point is this, though. @felipe: 1.The CPU wasn't programmed to do it. 2. Cause Sakurai wanted it to apply to all people. 3. I haven't played it in 3 years, plus I made the statement "IIRC", which in case you didn't know(which you'd be a n00b for not knowing, XD) means "If I Recall Correctly". EDIT: Hm? 64 was the minor of all the reasons I posted. Exploits are similar to glitches, but like was used in the quote, it was not intended.

1- Cpu is not progamed for even do a simple L-Cancel, who is totally intentional for part of sakurai 2- Hum l cancel again, L cancel is not on the manual 3- Then dont state something you are not sure
EDIT: Again, Wavedash as game mechanics was intended
