Actually, that'd be Luigi being a better choice than Mario. Being that Vegeta is the Luigi of the DBZ series.

I thought that he was the villain? No. He was the antagonist at the beginning, but he became a good guy later. Similar to Yamcha, Tien, and Piccolo. |

I think Vegeta's character is what makes him just as viable as Piccolo or Frieza. He's the bad*** of DBZ. He's an anti-hero. He's Goku's self-proclaimed rival. I think he won't be a clone of Goku either. He would be a much faster, more aggressive fighter.
FYI, I had originally suggested Piccolo due to his moveset potential, but I just like Vegeta too much as a character.

Just because they're practically the same in the show, doesn't mean he cant be different in a game. Him and Goku are practically clones in DBZ Budokai 2/3 but they're usually the best match up for the best of fights for their slight differences.

Ken and Ryu are way less different than Goku and Vegeta.

The only difference Goku and Vegeta have are in fighting styles.
Both punch, kick, use energy attacks, turn into stronger forms with golden hair, etc.
Name ANYTHING that one has over the other aside from the way they fight.
Because of this, we shouldn't have a DBZ character over a different 4th Party IF new 4th Party at all.
What makes DBZ so special that it needs more characters than most 3rd Party series? I say, stick with Goku, and either add a non-DBZ 4th Party, or don't add a new one at all.

Starting to agree with Golden. The possibility of another 4th is slim. I'm pretty sure there will be an expansion 4th.
